Suga like RM references deeper meanings in their raps and lyrics. Things that Koreans would understand. Locking the past in a rice chest refers to an ancient King who hated his son so much he locked him to starve to death in a rice chest. In this Rebel Suga challenges corrupt abusive King Suga who silences all opposition by cutting heads off. DAECHWITA is Sugas conflict with the corrupt industry. The old guard. HAEGEUM is Suga challenging society in the form of a corrupt cop. AMYGDALA Suga confronts his past traumas. Do personal challenges.

Suga's Daechwita is my introduction to Suga and to find out more about BTS and since then i became obsessed of all Suga's songs ( it was funny bcoz rap wasnt my genre but when i heard him rapping and what he is saying in his rap i became obsessed of Yoongi's work) and BTS . from the moment i listened Suga's Daechwita and more of his music he became my ultimate biased then and now , remained unchanged💜. The last part of his trilogy AMYGDALA which im sure you'll react is the conclusion and the revelation also of the origin of his scar face and what symbolized it. Suga is very deep !

It's crazy how so many people miss all the severed heads. The heads were hanging from burlap sacks leaking blood on the bottom in front of his temple and there were heads in the boxes that were surrounding him while he was watching the execution. You can see the hair hangin out of some of them. And the black figures on the ground that he jumps on were people.

Amygdala was the first song I heard from Suga aka Agust D and that began my journey with his solo songs. I then began listening to all the members solo songs, rotating the group songs as well. I know you have listened to RM but when the time comes to listen to BTS as a group, I recommend you to listen to Hip Hop Lover . This track will give you an insight into what inspired then, especially the rap line. I enjoyed your reaction to Daechwita (Dae ch ta) and I look for to your next reaction. 💜💜💜

In both he's destroying the one who has been corrupted by his power and greed. The last one in the trilogy is Amygdala, kind of a prequel, which explains why the two sides of the same person. I'm sure someone will explain it more eloquently, but that's kind of just a quick, abbreviated view. Sorry you've been sick, but glad you're on the mend!💜

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Really good song! Catchy. Very much a movie. This was all Suga's idea. His vision. They hired ppl who made his vision come to life. He is such a boss! I remember we were all speechless. Like my god his brain. King! Love the vibe. Suga kills it every time. The autotune is sick in this. Love it. The live version didn’t have an in-person audience but it was live streamed to 1.33 million people around the world. The other rappers are the haters and he kills them all in the MV, wince. Savage! 'DAECHWITA' you can pronounce it 'day-chi-ta'. The w is silent. =0] If u pay attention to the MV u will hear it pronounced correctly. Just mimic that and u will be fine. =0p I suggest u check out the behind the scenes. Suga (AGUST D) explains the meaning himself in those. =0} Also, pls check out the explanation video by DKDKTV. To really understand an artist I think it's important to look at all the content. It's good having ur own interpretation but it's vital to know what the artist was trying to say as well. To me at the end Suga accepts his greedy King self and becomes what he has always meant to be. =0) This song and MV made Suga my wrecker. I am Jimin ult biased. =0p This is part of a trilogy. Amygdala is the 3rd song. And YT actually links the MVs. Hugs. -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜 Like Renee Zemlock said on 12.20.20; Daechwita was the traditional music played to let people know when the King or the royal military was coming through. Yoongi has said that the King represents his past self, the greedy selfish part of who he used to be, and the peasant is his more humble present self. Also, the butcher in the beginning is also the executioner; their look exchanged at the beginning of the vid was them plotting the betrayal and execution of the King. Also, the antique gun he used to shoot the King.... is legitimately called Army. =0) Mark said on 3/18/22 The music at the beginning and sampled throughout actually is Daechwita. It’s traditional ceremonial, military music often used to announce the presence of the king. I think it translates to ‘great hitting and blowing’. Yoongi/Agust D is playing two aspects of himself. The mad king (also called Anger) is himself from the time of his first mixtape ‘Agust D’ released in 2016, and the rebel commoner is himself now (well, in 2020). There are six others in his ‘gang’, representing the other members of BTS, and the young woman who presents him with the car keys embodies ARMY. The revolver he uses at the end is a Colt ARMY revolver from 1860. He has suggested that maybe he didn’t actually ‘kill’ his former self, at least not completely. Yoongi’s three named personas (Min Yoongi, Suga and Agust D) are distinguishable from one another as well as being aspects of the same personality. There’s also a huge amount of cultural and historical reference which is best left to the explanation videos. berha said on 3/18/22 "I wish I knew what that said" - it basically says Daechwita written in Chinese characters. Chinese characters were used for the Korean language before the Korean alphabet was invented. The three characters literally translate to "big," "blow," and "hit" - referring to the royal marching band procession and instruments used in Daechwita. (suga and the 2 butchers) is pivotal to the plot of the MV, interesting you picked it! The butcher is the executioner. Suga is making a deal with him in the marketplace for the end of the video. bts.fandom.com/wiki/BTS_2021_MUSTER_SOWOOZOO BTS Daechwita @femmy-syahrani said on 6/30/23 MVs for both Daechwita and Haegeum depict Agust D's inner struggle. In Daechwita, the blond king is his old self, full of anger and ambition. The rebel is his new self, who wants to be down to earth. (Remember that he was blond in "Agust D".) In "Haegeum" I think the corrupt policeman represents the shackling negativity in society and himself. The gang leader is his desire to free himself from that. Notice that in Daechwita (2020) the scars are still red and fresh. In Haegeum (2023), only the policeman has the scar and it's almost healed. So Agust D is on his way to healing himself from his inner battles. Amygdala, the last song in the trilogy, will give you answers about the origin of the scar. Agust D's songs are not always this intense. He has some gentle, easy-listening songs too, but the lyrics are always honest. "People" is beloved by many. It talks candidly about people and life, a comfort song. I think you'll also enjoy this more gentle side of Agust D. "People Pt. 2" has an MV, no movie or story line, just a calm song about relationships.

If you watch Hageum again - the part where he's got him over the barrel is set in the same location but its all overgrown. The guy he gets at the start with the chopsticks is the guy here who cut the ropes on his hands. you know that saying 'absolute power corrupts absolutely' So its like this version - when he gained all the power got corrupted and the exact same scenario came back on him - one of his men turning on him. You see the guy he shares a look with in the raid is the one who puts the gun in the barrel in hageum. Its so well thougth out.

Haegeum didn't grab me as much either right off the bat but it has really grown on me (I love his whole DDay album) and seeing/hearing the combo of the two last year live at his concert was insane. There's something amazing about the Korean traditional instrument sound combined with the rap that I find entrancing - both sonically and also just from an authentic merging of cultures standpoint.

Thanks for your reaction I think, in Haegeum, the one who is the chief of police is the one who killed the tyrant king in Daewchita, who has now become corrupted with power... For me it symbolizes Suga's shadow, which is in his unconscious mind due to his traumas and which he seeks kill whenever he feels he is taking off and gaining more power... a part of him reveals himself to the re-installation of the tyrant and kills him In their discography, BTS has already touched on deep themes and psychological themes in their ballads, as well as in their rap and more pop songs. For example, in their album Map of the Soul, they were inspired by the theories of Carl Justav Jung, who was one of the most popular psychoanalysts of the 20th century and founder of depth psychology, which is mainly based on what exists between consciousness and the unconscious. Jung coined the "map of the soul" and different concepts to explain it, some of them are archetypes that, as if it were a universe that we carry inside, allow us to draw a map that shows how our psyche is configured (Persona, Ego, Anima and Shadow) So, I suggest you to react to • Map of the soul: Persona (RM) kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2q4qmOlpbt5adU • Persona explained by a korean kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3aUeoqjoK2Lhsk • Interlude: Shadow (Suga) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoeUmHasr9WGr5I • Interlude: Shadow explained by a Korean kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnWTe2edp56KpNE • Map of the soul 7: Outro Ego (JHope) kzbin.info/www/bejne/gp6koXeYq7N2jsk • Outro: Ego explained by a korean kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJXJqmNteJd6bNk I recommend reviewing the explanatory videos of the songs in the rap line as there are cultural references that are lost in translation and that Western fans cannot fully understand Regards from Mexico

The last one in this trilogy is amygdala it’s a song where he tell us his story, everything he raps about in that song is coming from his past all of it being true. Suga raps about his past struggles with depression anxiety and ocd he has been through a lot in his life and that song is just him finally letting it all out, the title Amygdala is a word to describe an almond shaped part of the brain where all your emotions and memories are kept,in the video you’ll see him sitting on the floor staring into the camera eating something ( it being an almond) the room he is in is a representation of the “amygdala” he feels trapped in there and wants out which is seen in the mv anyways I’m glad your enjoying the boys music keep the BTS reactions coming good work 💜

Thank you for your reaction. Our Yoongi (Suga or Agust D) is a warm, beautiful, kind hearted, genius rapper from the world famous band BTS. He has been rapping and writing songs since he was 13 years old. As real rappers do he also writes all of his songs. Moving from underground rap group to an idol group he faced lots of backlash, but he proved everyone wrong by just being himself and not shying on showing his vulnerable sides and expressing those through his raps. As a member of BTS, Suga has captivated audiences worldwide with his exceptional rapping skills, poignant lyrics, and soulful melodies. One of Suga's most remarkable qualities is his authenticity. Through his music, he fearlessly shares his own struggles, dreams, and experiences, resonating deeply with listeners who find solace and inspiration in his words. Suga's honesty and vulnerability not only make him relatable but also empower others to embrace their own imperfections and strive for personal growth. Beyond his musical prowess, Suga is a multifaceted artist who excels in various creative pursuits. He is a gifted producer, known for his innovative beats and genre-defying sound. His contributions to BTS's discography have helped shape the group's unique identity and elevate their music to international acclaim. Suga's influence extends beyond his artistry. He is admired for his dedication, work ethic, and resilience in the face of adversity. Despite facing numerous challenges on his journey to success, Suga has remained steadfast in pursuing his passions and inspiring others to do the same. Love to watch more BTS reactions on your channel. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

To finish the trilogy you have to react to Amygdala it is revealing a lot of his personal struggles and what have happend to him. Amygdala is the part of the brain that is controling fears emotions and traumas. It tries to balance these in some cases its very debalance and can cause psychosis episodes of selfarm and more. After the trilogy there is Agust D song call Agust D, First love. Shadow. The 4 BTS Cypher and Outro Tear live in Wembley Stadium this song is about they were close to disband the group and they stayed together and wrote that song. Okay, from what I understand...in Agust D, he became king, and established his authority. In Daechwita, the king is now corrupt, so the new up-and-comer established that he is the new king. The term Daechwita refers to the music that is played when kings are passing through in procession. So him saying Daechwita, Daechwita...he's saying, I'm the king coming through, make way and recognize. At the end of Daechwita, the new king offed the old one. In Haegeum, that new king from Daechwita is the cop, but now he too is corrupt. He's been swayed by money and power. So the new guy is coming to establish his dominance and start his new reign. So he offs the cop and now he's king. This is what I got from the trilogy. Anyone else on the same page?
