I like this concept of making a cool game and not leaving everyone in the dark about how it was created. The dream tools are good but teaching other how to use assets and remixes is where the true magic of using dream comes in. Thank you Ugly Sofa gaming.

Wow, Thanks For the Portuguese Subtitles!!!

You’re welcome, to be honest it’s a Auto translation of the English script how were they?
@muriloberg1803 жыл бұрын
they were good! for example, Dreams did not translate to "Sonhos", the translation recognized that Dreams was the name of the game :D

That’s great to hear (and surprising!) thanks for the feedback I’ll keep posting subtitles in various languages

I am new to dreams and I like it someone told me when seeing me learning the dream shaping said it is a dead platform u should put your time into something else cause no audience no money but I still believe in it and I am still learning it do u think it is worth learning Full time ?

It depends what your goals are Saeed. Do you want to be a game developer? Dreams is a great tool to start learning art design, game design, work flow and to start (quickly!) building a port folio. But if you want to be a developer sooner or late you’re going to have to learn some traditional tools. Can you make money on Dreams now? Absolutely we made a video about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZbWoWWdash4ldE But it’s not a get rich quick scheme, it takes a lot of effort and time to make money as a content creator - and while it’s possible to use Dreams for professional purposes not many have successfully yet. If you want to make money their are easier ways to do it, but if you want to create for the joy of it and potentially earn a little that’s definitely possible but not full time A lot of the community thinks Mm one day will have an in game monetisation system - but there are absolutely no guarantees. It could happen in five years or maybe never. Dreams activity is low, but stable. PlayStation are still supporting it as a live service game, and Mm have said they have 10+ years of ideas. Between now and then if Dreams does continue they’ll be a ton of big updates that will recapture attention.

No the levels take up very little space on your console. You can delete stuff locally and save things online. Welcome to the channel :)!

I just got it today and I’m trying to make a horror game in a house but the controls are just so weird & I can’t find walls and things I want. I’m slowly losing hope.
@UglySofaGaming3 жыл бұрын
I remember feeling exactly like that. The controls are so weird when your first start but it doesn’t take long for it to click. There is a non motion control version but I’ve never tried it, the way they designed it in the first instance was the way to go. Just go slow there’s a lot of short cuts to learn which help in whizzing around the map and cutting down on frustrations, it’ll come I promise. If you’re planning on creating like we do in the Project Fool videos using mostly community assets you may benefit from a lengthy session of curation. Put some music or a podcast on, go into Dreams shaping and just blast it with key words related to your project. Horror, creepy, walls, brick, barrier etc. Remember you can filter as well between elements, collections or types such as music or sculptures. Finally, if you’re not creating from scratch you may have to make compromises. Community creations may not have exactly what you want - but it might have something close. Or it’ll definitely have several things you can use to Frankenstein what you want. Let me know what you’re trying to create and I’ll try and offer some inspiration or guidance if I can. Welcome to Dreams and our channel!

@@UglySofaGaming ok thank you! I’m trying to make a P.T. Like horror game. I have issues with trying to do first person, and finding items I want.
@UglySofaGaming3 жыл бұрын
So we made a horror game a month ago I recommend a P.T style puppet created by Don_Kair One thing to note with is it has an odd logic set up regarding it being a thing you remotely control rather than possess or something. All it means in practice is when you start putting trigger zones down to trigger scares and stuff, make you set them to detect a custom “Player” tag rather than the default “Detect possessed puppet” If your new that may sound confusing but it’ll make more sense when you start messing with trigger zones. The benefit of the puppet is it has a stylised head bob effect and an atmospheric walk speed. Definitely have a curation session where you just look for stuff. There’s all sorts of community made packs as well

Wait, what happened to the hospital game?
@UglySofaGaming3 жыл бұрын
Took a break from it we went over it on Episode 4: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJLchJemp6ppl8U Don’t worry, we’re working on a Christmas platformer and then carrying on with the hospital game in January. New title is “Ghost Station” - we learned so much making this smaller experience!
