Hi! Thanks for the great video! I'm looking at doing the same thing as my wifi is intermittent and about half as fast as using an ethernet cable. I was just wondering if I could use a powerline adapter or wifi extender. My router and tv are not close by each other and I'd rather not run a long ethernet cable and then try and figure out a way to cover the cable up (don't want anyone tripping). Any info would be much appreciated!

Hi Joanna, I have not used a wifi extender but some folks I know swear by them and it has worked for them. I have been thinking about using it as my office is about 30 feet away from the router and wifi gets spotty sometimes.

So, from what I've learned is that some people may have a 1st generation firestick and not know it. It's possible you might have a 1st gen even if your remote looks like a 2nd gen remote. Run the stick off of wireless and go the 'about' screen and see if your firestick is 2nd gen or not. :)
