As a Marine rifleman, when one of these aircraft or the CH-53E came came to pick us up, we knew we had a fun but hard mission ahead.

Great job on that Phrog. I was a 6112 , a CH 46 mechanic as well as a Crew Chief with over 1000 flight hours. I have four of those academy kits in my stash waiting to be built someday.
@ugurkenel17 сағат бұрын
Many thanks! 👍🏻 It's a good thing you collected this model of Academy, they are no longer produced. It's very hard to find them now.

Love the rivets! A heads up from a USMC 6132 that spent plenty of time fixing them, those rotor blades are the composite type. Give away is the square attachments. Leading edge would be covered with rubber sheet. Easily duplicated with black tape.
@ugurkenelКүн бұрын
Many thanks. I didnt know that. So metalic effects on leading edge of blades are not proper ? Good to learn it.

Wow, looks like it took the patience of a saint for that job. But definitely worth it - a fantastic final result!

An excellent build as always Can I ask why are you using super glue rather than thin cement on most parts?
@ugurkenel16 сағат бұрын
Thanks a lot! I have no much time to wait curing Thin cement. I use CA glue because it dries in couple of second and i continue to work. Time saver…

Love this build, just started subscribing to your channel. I have the same glass display cabinets that I can see in the background on your finished shots, does the sea knight fit in these or is it too big with the rotors?
@ugurkenelКүн бұрын
Many thanks!! Yes it is exactly same size for this model. You just need to align rotor blades according to display case. Send me an email or contact me via instagram or facebook, i will send you a photo.
@philstorey7766Күн бұрын
@@ugurkenel brilliant, I hoped it would fit by rotating the rotors as you say. Just need to find one for sale now!👍

you don't want to spray the sidewalls of the glass parts in black? I would definitely do so, to avoid the grey look
@ugurkenelКүн бұрын
You are right! I normally outline the glass windows frame with dark gray by brush painting. I was a bit rush to get the video ready for this month. So it was not perfect.
