Stunning - what a voice Noreen had. Love her harmonies with Costello. Grew up listening to my father's Flair lps. I think he had about three of them. Keep posting them - only way I get to hear them now. Moran taing!

Tha seo fìor mhath. Cha robh mi eòlach air an dithis seo roimhe ach tha mi dèidheil dhà-rìribh air Na Lochies is eile.

I've had this whole album playlist on repeat for weeks now, and am dying to find out any information possible about this duo, this album, and a source for the Gaelic lyrics. I'm having quite a time even finding the simplest information online; aside from the playlist here, there's seemingly no record this even exists outside of KZbin. Do You happen to know where I can learn more? Thanks so much in advance!

After recording their first two albums Flair recorded one album ( on cassette) on Noel Eadie's Croft Recordings label in Lewis. Noreen Martin died at a comparatively early early age. Iain MacIver has been conductor of the school choir of Sir Edward Scott's School in Tarbert, Harris, and a successful Gaelic singer in his own right.

UISTMAN59 THANK YOU!! That’s all very helpful and quite interesting to me; now that I have a bit more to go on I can begin tracking down their physical media. I really appreciate Your answer.

@pastore0506 Sad to say Noreen Martin died relatively young.

Same tune as _Fàgail Ghrianaig_ (also a Lochs tune, as sung by Na Lochies).

That's a good one Iain. Any idea what happened to the female half of the duo when they split up? George

Iain MacRae He was a printer’s apprentice from Stornoway and she from Liùrbost in Lochs, hence her song about it elsewhere on this album.
