2:53 Clip 5 could probably benefit from our cammer trying to drive in a staggered formation. The Mazda driver should have known better and gone the wrong way for their journey instead of driving dangerously, but good drivers accommodate for the poor driving of others. If our cammer had kept the Mazda in front of them but in the left lane, it would have been easier to brake and let them continue round instead of essentially needing to swerve to avoid. People miss road markings and signs, especially when following a SatNav unsure of what to be looking out for. People who get confused or are in the wrong lane should only try to change their course if it is safe to do so, and go the wrong way if they cannot, but many view the route they need to go as absolute and will see any risk as necessary to stay on track. Always drive safe, even if it results in you being a little late, very late, or completely missing whatever it is you're getting to. Very often, driving dangerously to make work or an appointment doesn't save time at all. Traffic calming measures like lights, speed bumps, and roundabouts will often render your increased speeds or risk taking ultimately useless. It might make a difference on dual carriageways and motorways, but there runs the added risk that any meaningful increase in speed will result in being caught and fined, maybe even being delayed further by being stopped. Overall, there aren't really any situations where you can save meaningful time on a journey without a high risk of repercussions

was it illegal for the black mazda to continue in it's lane in the right curve? dit it have to go left? i can see no road markings or signs. circling was possible in two lanes. the cammer did change lane. his fault i would say.

8:05 Clip 13: This is why filtering is forbidden in Germany. It's dangerous to drive between cars in moving traffic. 100% the bikers fault in my opinion (yeah, I know you guys have different rules).
@nealbekheetsaliyb28542 жыл бұрын
I agree, each vehicle (including bikes) is entitled to its lane and may need to move unexpectedly to the left or right edge of that lane to say avoid debris , they don't need the headache of a biker weaving close to their car as they infringe on the tight gap.

I would hate getting stuck in a queue of traffic on the fast lane of the motorway. Avoid queues at all costs! Shocking that all the traffic didn’t really slow down passing them! 😡 So dangerous being a cyclist on the roads too!
@goodguykonrad37012 жыл бұрын
I mean, I don't want to start an argument but your use of the phrase "fast lane" is a little troubling. We see a motorway with three lanes, named lanes 1-3 going left to right. Lanes 2 and 3 are not fast lanes, they are just for overtaking. You should always try to move back over to the left when not overtaking anything in that lane. People all too often think they should remain in whatever lane their speed is suited for instead of responding dynamically to the traffic with overtaking and finding gaps. Anyway, hope you're doing well. The fact that your watching videos like this and commenting suggests that you are interested in improving your driving, which is the most important thing. And you're absolutely right, the traffic in the other lanes was moving too quickly for queuing traffic in lane 3

The first clip was a complete shocker and I’m glad the toddler is safe. Thank goodness there wasn’t anyone speeding or any white vans/lorry passing by. I’m still shocked that a guardian took that long to find the toddler, hopefully, social services don’t take the kid away from their legal guardians.
@goodguykonrad37012 жыл бұрын
I think it'd be unlikely that the kid would be taken away on this incident alone. If the parents/guardians are advised not to leave the kid with this individual in future, they ignore it, and the kid is found on the roads again, I think that would constitute grounds for some level of intervention

Really good idea from the cyclist who called out the reg plate clearly and using phonetics to ensure they would be able to confirm it later if the video was unsuitable; also a good personal calming measure because you can vocalise something that you know you can use later as evidence.

#9 please don't use the footpath; I understand why you would be tempted to use it to feel safer but it's called a footpath for a reason. If you encounter me whilst riding on the footpath, I'll force you to stop/into the road (& I'm a big lad!). I'm a cyclist & driver, so I appreciate both aspects. The truck driver in your clip was totally out-of-order. As a former driving instructor, I taught my pupils to allow cyclists as much space as a parked car; good instruction given the new highway code rules.

7:11 Absolutely idiotic driving by the cammer! First, he is too close to the car in front on the sliproad. Then there was absolutely no need to move out of lane 1, but instead he moves across THREE lanes, and with no more than one signal! He says he fully checked his mirrors, but failed to see the car that undertook him moments later! He also overtook a car that was moving into lane 2 (who also failed to see the fast car), assuming that he would not also move into lane 3. When you get onto a motorway you should stay in lane 1, cancel the indicator, assess the situation, and only then consider a lane change.
@Scoupe4002 жыл бұрын
Normally. Yep. I’m sure a lot of people will berate the BMW, but it remains a that the points you make are valid. Although if we take the cammer text as true, then it’s possible the BMW was simply under cutting rather than being in lane 3 or 2 and having to brake , swerve etc. That said, still every chance the BMW gathered pace quicker, and is something we all have to be aware of before pulling out ourselves.

Big ole mirror that shows the entire front area ahead of the lorry. The only way that lorry driver didn't see that car, was because the driver did not check that mirror.
