I am a Volvo fan they are a cracking truck to drive I just don’t feel like there is as much room in the new version 4 as there is in the new generation scania. I was lucky on this occasion as it was bank holiday Sunday so not as much traffic in the city as there would be most morning. That journey would have been hell on any usual week day! Thanks for the positive comment 🙌

great vid daniel, i came off the lgv's about 20 y ago and even back then the the driving standards of uk driving was sliping + more noticeable at weekends i drove everything from a 2100 daf to a 112 scania inc the merc's with the joystick gearstick :) erf with twin split etc but nothing touch my 112 highcab and tag axle love the rear cab cam more to see. as to autobox i dismised them till i got a autobox car (great and a lot less tireing ) keep the vids comeing , (one thing i was told when doing my lgv lessons was 1 approach and rounderbout expecting to stop (which does not seem to apply to a lot of driver's now and 2 everybody else out ther is a **** ing knob ) enjoy the life on the road i sure did .

New sub here, just binged you’re Ed Sh##ran tour, I’m so jealous of your job, it’s what I wanted to do when got my license in 1980 and although I’ve done lots of European work I’ve never done events, big regrets! I used to drive with an Eaton twin split on a Detroit Diesel V8 2 stroke engine in a Bedford tm3800, beast of a wagon, the twin split is a pussycat WHEN you get the hang of it. Good work, keep it up 😀

Hi. Daniel great vlog.I fully appreciate all you drivers who take the time to make vlogs and I will be subscribing.I watch Mat Ireland and the all the Road legend Boys and what I like about all of you no swears or use bad language we all know there are plenty of idiots on the road and truck driving ain't a glamorous job but you show how it is and the plus sides to the job maybe if some kids watched all you boys it would draw more into the job.Looking forward to you starting your tour will be watching.I think the Daf looks slightly better than the Volvo would put the Scania last.
@d1986scott5 жыл бұрын
Rob Trucker thank you for the kind words I appreciate it. I know what you’re saying I watch Mat Ireland and some of the RL gang and they’re all good in their own respects and I definitely want to keep the swearing away from the videos because I want them to be suitable for people of all ages and I don’t want to give anyone bad impressions... fortunately I enjoy my job I probably wouldn’t make videos if I didn’t haha there would be a lot more swearing involved 😂 there are some good things about the job still it’s just a shame about the way we are treated and looked upon by a lot of folk 😔

Bit late to the party on this video. Been working my way through them after watching the divide tour. I have to say the look of the next gen scania has grown on me. Wasn’t sure at first. But the old 4-series cab that lasted till the last R-series was also very controversial at first. I do still enjoy a manual, but it doesn’t make you a superior trucker, UNLESS, you can still drive an old fashioned crash gearbox without grinding gears. Then I will take my at off to you.
@d1986scott3 жыл бұрын
I must agree when they first released it I wasn’t keen but it’s definitely a grower 😂 I’m not really fussed how it looks outside though it’s the inside where I spend most of my time scania really got it right with the new gen. Ergonomically 10/10 it really is in a league of its own

Hey fella, Really like you’re videos fella as my beloved late old man was a European Trucker for 20+ years from the late 1970’s through to the late 1990’s before sudden illness forced early retirement and he was mainly an owner driver on Fridge work pulling out of ‘Northern Ireland’ to mainland Europe which was usually Italian runs with Irish Hanging Beef and he never drove anything except Scania V8’s. As he absolutely despised Volvo’s lol and he piloted 141’s, 142’s, 143’s & 144’s. You’re new Generation Scania doesn’t sound like the V8 models unless I’m mistaken? Is she a S450 or S500 by any chance? Cheers fella Mickey
@d1986scott5 жыл бұрын
Mickey Shone I bet your old man had some great stories to tell too! Still see quite a few of the Irish out there and well if you see an Irish scania it’s 99 times out of 100 going to be a v8 lol the Irish don’t like to hang around do they 😂 my new motor is an S500 we don’t carry enough weight to justify running V8s to be honest. I think with my load on for the tour my total weight is about 24 tonne!

@d1986scott5 жыл бұрын
Mike Kelsall the green L stands for lahmshcutz there are parts of Austria where your vehicle must meet noise reduction requirements to be able to run at certain times of night this sticker shows the vehicle reaches the noise requirements and must be displayed for me to be able to run during those times.
