Uk dairy farmer here, ive never known the farming community to be so down as they are right now. Never heard so many saying they are going to give up.

@alibali672 there are options which need to be looked at, personally it doesn't effect me. No children to pass on to so I know we'll be the last here. I think what's got farmers so angry is that this is yet another issue we've been targeted with. The paperwork and regulations are now making it impossible to farm with the small profits ( if any ) we make. Agri is being hit from every direction while other industries are not having the same rules. The government don't want us farming.

I hope you find a way through it all ​@@loustarshire3805 It was my hope and dream to be able to have some land to be able to grow our own food and live out of the system. I dont know much about the details of land ownership but i know that there are thousands of people with my dream and if we were able to rent land the security of that land could be established and ownership could be maintained and there would be very little profit in it for the government ..

6:55 - most of that 40% of our fresh food used to come from the region of Spain that has just suffered the floods, so that avenue has now been severely restricted so we could be in serious trouble if there are strikes

Farm Collectivisation never ends well. I was in the Welgate Library in Dundee and came across a Dundee Courier article from 1928 which was only a few inch column's reporting on the 12 million who had perished during the initial Stalinist Farm Collectivisation in the Ukraine, which went on to be ome the Ukraine Holodomor. Most famines are planned.

we live in tug your forelock Lincolnshire ...we used to have a farming cooperative called Beeswax it leased all the smaller farms land then it became Beeswax Dyson , now its Dyson farms and they want all the hold out farms land so they have everything ...all the land ...yes its good old James Dyson and his family trust who pay no death duties , no taxes etc etc some of their land was flooded last year and he was swooping round in his helicopter bleating to the government for funds ...sickening parasites the lot of them

Makes me laugh people say this but if we didnt do On topic videos we would have hundreds subs not thousands...

Hey mate, as always appreciated time taken to respond.. I'll answer this if I may. I largely don't trust any party, I figure they all lie to a degree. As for fear mongering, I hope I don't. Personally I could have my channel have thousands of hits with click bait titles and the end of the world is near content..I try not to. I would like to think we talk,for the most part about things that may affect us in the future," may". That's prepping isn't it? Preparing for the unknown, suspected or unexpected.. My opinion is just that, an opinion mate, like everyone else in life I can get it wrong. If I do, I'll put my hands up to it. As it is, we talk and give our honest opinions , you may not agree which is totally fine and if it prompts a healthy debate or better ideas I'm 100 percent all for it buddy. But fear mongering?? Never my intention.

If you do not keep up with current affairs then you do not know what is coming down the line and therefore are unable to prepare for its. We need to discuss important issues as a community, online or otherwise.
