As @BarryJPage said, EDCs are very much a personal thing. Mine is ‘just’; wallet, Trapper pocketknife, Zippo, lipsalve, nasal spray (damned sinuses!), smokes, keys. Occasionally I’ll carry a Leatherman Wingman that I’ve removed the blades from making it U.K. ‘street’ legal; an easy job assuming you’ve a few spare washers knocking about.

I have a Leatherman Bond for EDC, which is non-locking. I really wish vendors made it clear (Amazon I'm looking at you) when stuff has locking blades. Heinnie is pretty good, Cyclaire also. Meanwhile, I have a suit pocket EDC, a little earbud pouch with an Olight i3E EOS, Gerber Vise and jet flame lighter. My EDC does change, but the essentials are always covered.

6:25 I'd question that statement. I don't think your mutitool is UK legal for EDC. If you cant fold the blade fully away without moving a lever, pressing a button, or in this case unfolding and then refolding the tool, it's not UK legal for EDC. Same reason the Leatherman Bond isn't UK legal, even though Leatherman say it is. It has the same problem as the tool you have there, where can't fold the blade fully away from its open position without "doing something". And "doing something" is classed as a locking mechanism. Not trying to be a smart ass, just pointing that out so you don't get in any bother. And for anyone else watching obviously.

My EDC is cash, legal multi tool, waterproof lighter that comes with a whistle, mini torch, charged phone, used to take tactical pen but can’t now. Good reminder to add my new card multitool in to my wallet though. And if I was in a heavily urban area and worried the alarm would be useful too, yes. Good idea with the mini ferro rod to add to keyring!

Wallet, keys, Phone, Pocket Knife. That is my EDC. In the car there is a first aid kit, cable ties & paracord, small roll of gorilla tape, some food and water, gym kit, walking boots and a hoodie. Nice and simple. My dad always said if it cant be fixed with gaffa tape, paracord and cable ties you need a new one.

It called having a bug out bag prepared and on hand just in case. That bag can stay in the boot of your car . You are also one of the liers Straight away with your opening about preppers lies you have made it sound wores than it actually is. The bottom line is preppers make these videos in the hope of making sales and in exchange that give you vital information. In their videos. And you look and sound like you couldn't prep yourself out of a paper bag let alone anything eles . Why are uk preppers video so lame compared to us preppers.

But don't you prepare for every journey, as they are all different. Going out on a clear summer day, would you take an umbrella ? Going out for a jog, would you wear your wellingtons ? EDC's are "mission specific" as what you carry to a night on the town would be totally different to taking a walk through the local woods. It is pretty dumb to claim that one EDC is going to cover everything, even if you carry a "man bag"

I usually don't go anywhere without my Karrimor SF delta 25 backpack with a lightweight level 3a polymer ceramic SAPI plate. I should probably carry a cellular phone for emegencies more often. Recently added a Spashmap 1:50,000 OS custom map and a Cammenga tritium J582T compass. Ditched the pointless metal survival card thingy years ago. No Leatherman tool just a Victorinox farmer (I need to get a new leather pouch for it). Torch is currently just a basic Olight i5T EoS sith an EBL 1.5V Lithium rechargeable with USB-C battery. Pen is just a basic £17 titanium bolt clicky with a Fisher refill. The lighter was an old Brunton but died so I'm trying out a new glow bushcraft plasma lighter. I will need to add a CC sized BCB tinder card to add to my Maxpedition wallet. Seems to work well with the lighter when cut into strips. My wrist watch is a basic Citizen Eco drive Promaster Marine. Gloves would be Laken Sandringham if it was cold and wet outside. Cordage is Emma Kites 2.1 mm Kevlar braided cord if I was going to EDC instead of Paracord. Has the same breaking strain as Paracord but is much more compact to carry

@@UKUrbanPrepperthen you might not want to carry that card ninja as it has a fixed sharp edge similar to carrying a loose razor blade although not as sharp. U.K. law states only a folding pocket knife with a non locking blade under 3 inches is legal to carry without a good reason.

@kennymccormick3480
@kennymccormick3480 Сағат бұрын
@@PedigreeMongrelnah the U.K. law is very clear on the legal carry of bladed articles, it has to be a foldable non locking blade under 3” for it to fit in the folding pocket knife category which makes it legal to carry without good reason. Has to have all three requirements not just under 3 inches. Possession of a multi-tool incorporating a prohibited blade or pointed article is capable of being an offence under this section even if there are other tools on the instrument, which may be of use to a person in a public place, for example a screwdriver or a can opener. It is for the person to prove on the balance of probabilities that they have a good reason for possession. Even a small screw driver will be considered a weapon if carried with out a good reason. I got put on a knife crime prevention program for a few months for having a screwdriver on me when I was 17 plus 60 or 80 hours of community service and had to report to a youth offending service once a week for 3-4 months and that was my first offence lol

My predictions 2025: more storms, extreme weather etc as global warming takes hold, migration/ immigration issues intensify due to these and effects of social upheavals and war- a sign of stress aka mental health issues writ large. Proxies will further fall by the wayside in conflicts leading to the ‘big boys’ starting to directly face off against each other more, inflation and pressures increasing on the average household. Pandemic of Bird Flu.This will all feed more cannon fodder in the bank for the big conflicts to come between the bigger players.

That fox hunt reminds me of back in the late 70's, early 80's where loads of us had CB radios (not a licence in sight), and Sundays about 50 or so cars with CBs would go on a treasure hunt, and the final clue would take us to a pub where we'd all meet up for the evening. Great fun times. Black Tassle signing off.
