This should help you finding places. If you see a Postman /parcelforce van nearby - Ask. They 99% of the time know the place as they will have probably delivered to them before. Another good idea is for finding homes (with names) etc is a planning portal. EG like Manchester Planning Map (or whatever area / county you're in) Search the local planning Map and you will also see hard to find places. Hope this helps. 👍

I still got to pass my class 2, but knowing pallet work likely one of the first jobs, getting lost and not finding werid places is a big worry so that's an awesome tip!

Mate I can honestly say I watched the intire video & really enjoyed it. Most hgv vloggers miss out the stressful parts. Your video shows exactly what can happen on this type of job. When I drove trucks I had plenty of days like yours & it can be so stressful. Thanks for sharing

Hi mate. Thanks a lot for dropping by and I really apreciate your feedback. Thank you. I am glad that you do understand exactly what I want to show everyone, it is all about reality. I have subscribed to your channel and would be watching when I will have some spare time. Kind regards. Take care mate

I feel for you chum. When it gets dark it's a different ball game altogether. Cannot see to reverse. Cannot see buildings names to see where you are. I hated delivering in the dark that's when accidents happen.❤Ruth

Interesting videos mate, I did pallet network deliveries for 8 years and it can be demanding especially deliveries to houses where the communication between the shipper and the end customer can be misunderstood. They will often tell the receiving customer the driver will lift everything into your house no problem and unload a full pallet of bricks by hand into the back of your garden but the company you drive for operate a kerbside service. Over the years I had many angry customer demanding I shift 4 pallets of Grass/turf or 1 tonne bags of gravel to the rear of the house on the pallet truck when most of the time or was a struggle to get it off the tail lift onto the footpath. Also Google maps in satellite View is Fantastic for finding a lot of places as you can enter the business name into the Search bar.👍

Of course they will lie the customer with all the necessery lifting and manouvering just to obtain their trust and their money and after that we as drivers get all the crap and all the blame unfortunately.... Thanks a lot mate for tips. I am glad that you did understand why I did have such a reaction for finding that place :) Thanks a lot for support and you are very welcome to be here. Kind regards

@@RobertMihalache yes I fully understand, my 8 years taught me a lot about finding difficult addresses and how to find different ways to get very heavy pallets off the tail lift but the constant strain of tiles, bricks and gravel on a pallet truck caused me to Hernias and a neck injury requiring surgery and metal plate and screws in my neck so decided it was time to move on to class 1 work. 👍

Hi Robert, why didnt the FL driver position the pallets between the strap anchors , there was plenty of room to move the pallets between them? Headscratcher Robert and great vlog again.

how come you did the vehicle check after you got loaded and strapped down? I have always checked my vehicle before loading, saves any hassle incase the vehicle is not safe for road
@RobertMihalache3 жыл бұрын
I have had a look at the vehicle before I have started recording. Even if you do the checks before you still need to check after you safely secure your load, i think it will be something with load security or safely. I forgot exactly the name of it but I think you will know what I mean. Cheers pal

That looked stressful, how many hours a day do you work ?
@BurritoSenor2 жыл бұрын
No idea but probably 8-11
@RobertMihalache2 жыл бұрын
depends on the job usually between 9 and 15 hours depending on what days I have worked, area, wtd, driving hours, etc. That's agency work, but of course there are some jobs that you work less hours depending on what you want, money or spare time ?

it is your license and livelihood at stake that is what worries me the reliance on others e.g companies that hire you through a third party. for ease of firing you and not giving a dame about equipment or vehicle .
