UK Migration: Migrant pays smugglers to return him to France after failed asylum claim

Omar left Kurdistan and paid a smuggler $15,000 (£12,000) to get him to Britain. He was there for 20 months, suffered a stroke, failed to gain asylum.
He ended up paying a smuggler £500 to get him out of Britain and back to this squalid camp in France.
Based on the Government's Rwanda law, Omar feared being deported and that led him to leave the country, he says ''Britain is not what people think it is'.

We need to find a way to make an agreement with france to work together to return all boats. Have a legal quota of migrants we will accept from Europe, give priority to applications from France and then forcibly detain and return all boat crossings like this. If the crossings are all stopped in transit, the business dries up and people would stop heading to Calais. Rwanda is not the way to solve this, we need to engage with France more effectively and provide incentive.
