@mackenziecumming910711 ай бұрын
@@jackrogers1115 that’s not how tax brackets work. You don’t pay 45 % on all your earnings, only the gains after that £150,000 mark( the marks actually changed from 150k to anything over 125,140 for this fiscal year). Then the money they earn between the 20% bracket they pay 20% on, and whatever money they earn on the 40% bracket they pay 40% on. Let’s use your example of someone earning over 150k, let’s say 170k to be fair. They’re paying £70,703 (including national insurance payments) in tax for one fiscal year, which is still a lot however it isn’t 60% of their income, in fact it’s only 42% when rounded to 2 sf. Edit: This example is relevant to the old tax bracket. It’s also assuming you don’t use any way to avoid tax legally, since tax law is full of loopholes.

University rankings are a joke. For example, the university of St.Andrews in scotland is well known to be one of the best universities in the UK, yet its global ranking is still something like 200 on most ranking sites, simply because its too small to compete on things like total research output with the bigger universities. So basically for this visa you need to have gone to not necessarily just a good university, but also a very large one.

What he neglects to tell you is that the prospect for employment is slim. They will 100% pick local people who do not rely on a temporary visa. Not to mention the extravagant cost of living. Even if you do get a decent 9-5 job the majority of your pay will be going to rent. Thats not even counting if you are London itself where the price of food and everything is also high compared to other parts of the country.

That is due to mass immigration. 1.4 million entered the Uk last year, the vast majority going to the big cities. London is so expensive because its extreme overcrowding issue which is because of immigration. If only whites were in the country london’s population would DECREASE, yet it increases every year massively! We must not bring in a single more immigrant. @punishedgloyperstormtroope809810 ай бұрын
100% exactly this is the major problem. Nations are viewed as economic zones and corporations to create maximum efficiency and GDP. Before WW2 nations are ethnic groups and cultures and states are created to defend the existence, culture, prosperity, safety and so on of a ethnic group of people and the land that is theirs. The economy is meant to serve the nation Not the nation is meant to serve the economy and orient around it. It would be better to have Britain homogeneous and maintain British culture yet be poor than Britain be multiracial and multicultural with British as a ethnic minority and Britain existing only as economic zone like Dubai but be rich. The German national socialist Reich was created to defend German people and German interests and only that, by any means necessary

If this is an additional visa, not amending the terms of pre-existing visas, then it literally only exacerbates the problem it was brought in to 'fix'. First, maybe look for high potential WITHIN the country already? And secondly, is there anyone using the HPI that isn't just going to stay exclusively within London? Call it the London Business visa

Attracting high quality skilled immigrants are important, but definitely shouldn't be limited to the top elite. Make it like top 500 and I think it's fair. Also add a second clause for any international student that graduated from UK universities. Meanwhile we could shut the doors for unskilled people.

Netherlands already has this program. They are open to graduates from top 200 universities. UK restricted it to top 50. Out of top 50, I think 10-12 are from the UK as per Times Higher Education ranking. Now, Times ranking is heavily biased towards English universities. This is a very flawed ranking. Some German, French and Indian universities are particularly excellent in science or engineering or management and feature in top 50 of subject rankings. But they don't feature in top 50 global universities. For example, RWTH Aachen and IIT Delhi are among the top 50 engineering universities. But they don't feature in top 50 global universities as they don't have top programs in humanities.

His a fact for you, an established roofer in the construction industry, can earn anything from £1000 a week upwards, no degree purely training on the job. Food for thought 🤔

Now i wouldn't qualify anyway, but i'm a software developer in Romania, and have visited UK a few times, including London. I would get double my current salary there, but would I move - heck no. The life is much more expensive. The rent alone would bring down to Romania levels - and i would have no hope of owning a house of my own. The market is going up here as well, but i could easily get a 50k€ old house in the country side, or a 70-150k apartment in any large city. It wouldn't be worth it to me to move, just because my buying power here is way above average, and services are slightly below UK. Retirement here is probably gonna suck, but i'll figure something out.

Its up to the individual to show how capable they are, not the university they attended. (I did undergraduate at a top 10 uni, my graduate at top 5, and now i do my PhD at a top 100 uni and the level is about the same).
