Regarding Long Service Leave, the best is probably public sector jobs. I know in NSW, changing jobs within the state public service allowed the LSL to rollover to the next department and the next, etc, since the Government is the same employer.

Super won't continually increase. We've been slowly going up from 9% to 12%. Which we reach and stop at next year. LSL was first introduced to allow immigrants time to travel back home (normally by boat). And encourage them to come back.

That must of taken a while to get home by boat

Casual working is shite, there’s no job security and the lack of leave entitlement is awful. You just have to accept that if you’re sick you don’t get paid. I’m hopeful that next year I have a full time role lined up. That will be the first time in my 20 years of working

When I worked in VIC, we had 10 days full pay, 10 days half pay each year, over 2 days in a row you needed a doctors certificate and as you say unused sick leave accumulated to a maximum of 9 weeks.
