Mother Theresa is a Christian saint. Diva Maria is Virgin Mary. The song says that all saints once walked the earth meaning it depends on us if we will raise to be divas or fall down. diva in Ukrainian means both virgin, and deity like the Iranian/Indian divas.

every detail in this show has a deep meaning...these cubes with shadows are collapsed floors with people after russian attacks, the fireworks are phosphate shells...it's all very symbolic and it's impossible to hold back the tears..😢💔

I’d like to add a few words about their costumes. They mentioned it in their interview. Jerry’s dress is inspired by Saint Michael. And Alyona’s costume refers to a warrior and it’s really heavy. Also, it’s had a lot of layers on her shoulders which means that we as woman carries a lot of things on our shoulders. And we are warriors.

To start. I think Ukraine's performance is the best in the first semi-final. And to be honest, I doubt that it will be better in the second semi-final. The production gives the viewer the opportunity to take something of their own for themselves. Someone will see the feminist movement, the power of women, someone will see the war and its tragic consequences. And everyone will be right in their own way. This production is so deep. I like that they did it not for the sake of special effects, but everything looks logical and organic. On the other hand, this performance is not aimed at the audience in the hall. They were unable to appreciate many of the nuances as shown on TV. It is important to note that in addition to the production, the duo from Ukraine really pleases with powerful vocals and an unusual combination of folk, club music and rap. I'm not a fan of rap, and I think it's too long in this song. Perhaps this is the only negative. But everything still looks organic. I think that the meaning of this rap is also not very clear to the audience. It would be better if they highlighted some important words of this message and displayed them on the back screen... But this is my opinion. And so, I wish good luck to Ukraine. And I think that they can compete for first place in the final. But I can definitely say that they will be in the top 5, obviously

As a Ukrainian, I am telling you what was on the background it was phosphorus bombs, not fireworks. Phosphorus bombs are forbidden to use by convention. It is a war crime. Nevertheless Russia uses it on Ukrainian territory. Damage that it cause: If white phosphorous or its smoke contacts your skin, it can immediately cause severely painful second-degree or third-degree burns. It's easily absorbed through your skin, and toxicity can cause whole-body effects like liver or kidney damage. Eye exposure can also cause symptoms such as: burning.
