This paper tiger, the offensive organization called NATO, is the rliic of the past and the biggest threat to world peace.

General Kujat has been raising his voice and criticizing what is happening in Ukraine for a long time. So did other Bundeswehr officers. He was the highest-ranking non-US general in NATO. To accuse him of anything biased is absurd. His job was military analysis. However, he has no interest in Germany pursuing its policies through the USA and the Eastern European states at Germany's expense.

For NATO, the fact that Ukrane can't win is irrelevant. The purpose of this war is not at all winning, rather it is using Ukraine as a means of waging a war against Russia. Therefore the assertion that NATO must negotiate is not a pragmatic or practical one; it is merely an ethical statement. Ethics have not played much of a role for NATO so far.
@sequero2747

But on the contrary, I believe it is an entirely pragmatic and practical position. And that because while some psychopaths might be entirely delighted with a nightmare of destruction engulfing Europe and possibly nearly the entire world, in a completely unwinnable world war 3, this disaster would not be advantageous to the non- human life hating psychopaths (to the ordinary people, who appreciate their opportunity to live). It is entirely necessary for pragmatic and practical reasons, to prevent the conflict escalating into a larger conflict. Cheers, peace and love

There's a ridiculous propaganda interview with Rob Bauer, NATO's military chief, this weekend in the leading Stockholm paper Dagens Nyheter (Daily News). He's saying the fate of the entire Free World depends on Ukrainian victory, calls for Europe to switch to a war economy etc etc. If Ukraine fails then all of Europe would become slaves of Moscow, that's his pitch. 😁

@LanaLender
@LanaLender 4 ай бұрын
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are engaged in terrorizing the civilian population, both before and now. Thanks to the Russian air defense, not everything was affected. Therefore, there may be few victims. But Russia could do the same, it has the opportunity, but it will not do it. So the small number of victims among the civilian population of Ukraine is precisely pity for the population, and not the merit of the Ukrainian defense, which even places military equipment under the windows of residential buildings without evacuating the population (there are many videos, in one they filmed a tank standing right under the apartment window), therefore Ukraine does not spare even its own civilians residents and hides behind their backs.

President Putin's career in the KGB of the Soviet Union taught him that the Soviet Union was a Russian empire run at a financial and cultural loss for Russia. He has learned his lesson, demonstrated in Ukraine where Russia is not doing anything but securing the areas of Russian speakers, who were massacred from the day of the US instigated colour revolution. The only basis we have for fearing a Russian expansionist policy is our western media ,which used to serve us well as the fourth estate. Now the media have become 100% corrupted, and not only the citizens but also the politicians relate to the "news" from the media as if they were true, but in effect only amount to economic and political power. The former free world has become a tyranny of opinions and it is heading for the total destruction of humanity.

The biggest mistake of those who wants to make Ukraine a "forever war" is thinking that you can just establish such a status onto the conflict. The mistake lies in assumption that it is for the West of for USA to decide. I saw a conference by this German general on another KZbin channel and I was really worried. I imagined that NATO was full of racist maniacs who absolutely hate Russia, because this is a predictable toxic mixture originating from the anti-Soviet and even Nazi legacy that characterized the mentality of this military organization since it was created and throughout the Cold War. But I became really alarmed by the total lack of responsibility and care of today's NATO commanders when I realized that they would actually rather see their world incinerated and devastated by nuclear bombs just so they can say from a bunker that Russia was also crippled and destroyed by Western atomic bombs. This is far more insane than the balance of terror guaranteed by mutually assured destruction. This is a guarantee of unnecessary mutual destruction because of the insanity of NATO's claim to absorb Nazi Ukraine.

Ukraine is conducting speculative fire on populated urban centres and has done so since 2014. This is not 'restraint' it is simply unreported. Ukraine are known to expend critical munitions such as HIMARS, even in dire shortages, on this sort of attack. The vast majority of Donbass attacks and all the Belgorod attacks using artillery of this type. This is not unrestrained. Both sides are conducting a primary political war: the RF is narrowly keeping within its stated war goals of protecting Donbass (after it's failed attempt to 'bounce' the Ukrainians to peace negotiations) and conducting a limited war* with clear exit plans. The Ukrainians are fighting an ideological war against Russians and this dovetails neatly with US desires. *This ideological war is in no way restrained* *This is why all western reports universally say 'all-out attack' when describing Russian military operations; they don't want these limited goals recognised.

@louise_rose
@louise_rose 4 ай бұрын
The key question of course is: where do you place the new borders between Ukra and Ru? What kind of border should the negotiations be about? The political leaders of various NATO/EU countries, headed by the USA, have effectively chained themselves to the mainmast with the idea that total restoration of Ukraine's pre-2014 borders, massive war damages and in blanco acceptance of moral and legal guilt from Russia is the ONLY way to go. This has been proclaimed as sacred, writ, over and over again, and as a NATO general you probably can't question it in public., even though it's clearly unrealistic. Someone needs to tell Kiev that "Sorry man, you're not going to get your massive Bonanza Win - peace in this war is a matter of Ukrainian survival, and Russia will get to decide much of the conditions" but so far nobody in the inner circle on the EU/NATO side has had the stomach to say that in public.

I don’t know where to start in response to this interview. So I’ll just leave it at a hearty thanks for sharing it, and this man’s knowledge and wisdom. The peace of the world enshrined in the constitution? We should all have such a clause. Oh and I loved the appearance of the doggie.

If I was to ever speak to a German military person I’d ask them what happened in 1918 with the German Navy Mutiny which spread to the population and let to the formation of the Weimar Republic and Armistice. I’ve only heard what was taught in U.K. classrooms. It was a while ago so it should be reasonably neutral but I still expect he would have a different opinion. Just seen video of the strike on the motorway north of Odessa. Can’t be far off the point when they get rid of Kaiser Zelensky and form a new republic.

It's so sad because all the death could have been avoided if only the US would leave other countries alone. Our infrastructure sucks, our schools suck, and our healthcare sucks. Homelessness, crime, unaffordable housing. Flint, Michigan still after 10 years doesn't have clean water, no one held responsible. Don't think the Lehaina fire victims have ever received real help. It's all about taking what other countries have as if it belongs to us. No diplomacy for peace or building true relationships not based on bribes or scratching each others backs.

Russia is rich in resources, that's why NATO and the comedy actor president want to justify this utter folly, at the expense of 1000s of young Ukrainian lives Russia evidently saw all this coming

Yes, and took preemptive action together with the people of Crimea in 2014. Control of Crimea is one of the key prizes that the US was after, and Kiev would have been only too happy to hand over Sevastopol to the US if the latter helped them oust Russia from their lease of much of the bay.

The problem for the current Kiev regime, is that negotiations with Russia, will also be a catastrophic defeat. They would have to surrender things that would keep some version of Ukraine alive - but would put all of them in Jail.

Yes but what choice have they? NATO (USA) decides, claiming that Russia is the problem. Russia keeps to international law, ignored by the "rules-based West!!)and wants its own security. why not???? Peace is wanted by the actual populations everywhere.

Better to admit defeat now and surrender before they lose even more territory and tens of thousands of their young men. The land lost so far is gone. There is no way they can get this back, unless NATO/USA moves in with troops. Even then it's far from certain they will reclaim it.

It scares me that there's European generals who so massively misread Russia. This man honestly thinks there's a risk of war with Russia instigated by Russia simply because they might have the means. This seems a lot like projecting one's own attitude onto another culture whether it fits or it doesn't fit. He also seems to think of the USA as a benign influence. Almost as an impersonal force of nature. It's frighteningly naïve and bears no relation to history, including the part of history he was a part of. I wonder as to his honesty here.
