Ukraine's fighter pilots fly advanced F-16s for war with Russia

Ukraine could receive its first F-16 combat aircraft in the summer if the current timeline for pilot and support training continues apace, Denmark’s defense minister has said.
“It is difficult to set a fixed timetable for the donation of F-16 fighter jets, because there are several conditions that must be met in order for Ukraine to use the donated aircraft,” defense minister Troels Lund Poulsen said. Poulsen added that he expected a handover some time in summer.
In addition to pilot training, he said the proper logistics and infrastructure would need to be in place in Ukraine before delivery.
Exclusive footage shared with Storyful by United24 Media, which is associated with President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, showed Ukrainian pilots training in Denmark in February.
Denmark has been training Ukrainian fighter pilots who first underwent basic training in the United Kingdom.

Service and maintenance plans ahead of it's training. Some Pilots in Hawaii been training for over 14 months. CNN video shows Ukraine pilots last year fyling. My cousin does the trainers in Hawaii. Keep in mind F-16 has seen combat. That's why many countries love the F-16.

F-16 employed by Ukraine will show Russians what gaps do they have and where are NATO weaknesses. If it would use the AMRAAM missile that would show the Russians its true capabilities. Even if it would be old model. Also it would allow the Americans to asses F-16 capabilities in context of Russian threat. They might prolong the war, but in these insignificant numbers for Russia this would be just another inconvenience like HIMARS. Not a game changing development.

The American F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Joint strike fighter are true 5th generation stealth aircraft, without a doubt the best in the world, American F-15 Eagles for context has never Ben shot down in combat yet, and I’d have to double check the numbers but I believe they have shot down over a 150 to zero, and in training F-22s take on 6,7 F-15’s, F-16’s, etc by themselves and most of the time win in war games: no one really thinks Russia aircraft are the best, Russia doesn’t even have full air supremacy in Ukraine in 2 years

Last desperate move by NATO - but suicidal for many countries. F-16's design is such that it might have difficulties operating from Ukrainian runways. This has sparked speculation that they might fly from Poland, Romania, or the Baltic States instead. Russia has issued a warning, saying such a deployment would be an escalation of the conflict. Basically, NATO is going to attack Russia from Poland and Romania using their F16s. If Russia doesn't attack Polish and Romanian airfields, they are insane. As the F16s can be carrying nuclear weapons. Poland will not venture into that adventure because then Poland can be easily attacked by Russia from Kaliningrad.

It was necessary to select candidates for retraining on the F-16 from Ukrainian civilian pilots. They have good English, experience flying foreign planes, extensive flying experience. They chose people with little experience, no experience in foreign technology, with zero English (the problem of learning a language is TIME). Learning to fly combat missions is MUCH easier and will take LESS time than learning a language. The decision to select candidates was NOT made by a PILOT. How many Ukrainian pilots have been prepared?????????????

The training is so long and rigorous that the aircraft becomes extension of your body. This is all because the pilot has to become so adept that he doesn't even have to think about the action to take and the action to come as a reflex when he is fired upon or when he has to fire as in a dog fight. These cold war era scraps will come as target practice for Russian Sukhois.

For the haters In the comments, American weapon systems, aircraft, tanks, etc, are part of a system called combined arms, so you are right not one aircraft or tank etc win by itself. It’s combing all of em together working to support support one another. Sea, air, land, just a handful of the oldest versions of some American weapons like the Himars, Javelins, Bradley’s, etc have had a tremendous effect in this war against Russia, any military analyst wouid tell you if Russia had to square off in battle with America’s military all in, it wouid be a bloodbath, remember I’m just talking about if America joined the battle in Ukraine. Hypothetically, in one or two Days Americans wouid have complete air supremacy, not just from better aircraft, but bc American pilots and all their maintenance and support units have Ben fighting for 20 years. That experience gained flying combat sorties is critical, anyway the F-16 is the most successful aircraft as far as how many countries buy it for a reason, Turkey just spent 24 billion on buying the newest version, so it’s a very capable aircraft, highly agile, can’t wait to see the videos on KZbin doing damage, and what’s funny is Russia acts way too excited when it knocks 1 American tank, or Bradley, the other day people were losing Thier minds bc they destroyed 1 Abrams tank.
