This wasn't a failed counter-attack, it was a probing attack to test new EW equipment which if proved successful, will be used in the main attack Kiev plans for Zaporizhia Power Station or in the Bryansk area of Russia. From all account the new "Mystery" EW system employed by Ukraine was very effective in blocking Russia FPV drones. Consider, in all of the attacks [3 of them] Russia only managed to destroy two tanks! That sort of failure rate for Russia is unheard of. Russia will now be frantically looking for a countermeasure to the Ukie EW system and quickly promoting the manufacture and output of their Fibreoptic FPV drones. If this is not the reason for the attack(s) then they really make no sense whatsoever because Russia is closing in behind them and will cut them off completely. Already, most of their armour has been returned to the FUP and will be moved out of harms' way. Zelenski has called a meeting today [Monday] with his top General to discuss the Kursk assault - he wants to know if the EW system worked and will it give them an advantage in their main offensive operation. Much more going on than what you see on the frontpage!!
