Dear Kings and Generals, you're a great channel, but saying "independent Russian media Meduza" and using this in your video - it's way too naive and shows very little understanding of how the power in Russia really works. No offence intended, it's just Russian studies in the West are on a very low level, and Russia is percepted through the lens of a country, similar to Western country, but that happens to have a "totalitarian Putin". But in reality - it's Soviet Union 2.0, but with both kinds of propaganda in place at this time, with FSB and GU GH struggling for power, fake "opposition", that did 0 in 20+ years, there are no independent anything in Russia or associated with Russia. Hopefully our NGOs, like Come Back Alive will post a public part of their research on Russian Federation, so the "mainstream lens" is going to change, because most of the people analyzing Russian politics are just not really in context of what Russia really is, as the Russian studies have been abandoned, as Soviet Union collapsed... but it kind of never disappeared :) Keep on doing the great work!

Except that this Proxy War in Ukraine is a "Provoked War of Aggression" - provoked by the US CIA and Biden Administration and NATO in a war of aggression against Russia - in fact it is a Proxy War Crusade against Russia and it is actually not going well for NATO, the US nor Ukraine. Cut the propaganda and get to the real reasons behind the war and the death of Statesmanship in the US State department and the rush of the WEF, IMF, CIA and Biden's Administrative Federal State and MIC to crush Russia and dismember it on the alter of Globalism under Klaus Schwab and the WEF and IMF.

I pretty much expected it to be a slog. Ukraine doesn’t have the air power for a blitzkreig or a desert storm type of advance so it’s going to be a slog like ww1 or Iran-Iraq war. Not to mention Russia had over a year to fortify these positions.

What K&G has done really well, is how they have translated their trusted and succesfull format of historical content into content covering a conflict almost in real time. I personally greatly appreciate these video's for how summarries are given for each relevant front line. Despite using a meriad of sources, I feel my understanding and judgement of this conflict would have been slightly lower were it not for K&G. Therefore many thanks and keep up the great work.

Never watched any of UA vids, even this one. Is it biased?
@Oshidashi
@Oshidashi 9 ай бұрын
@@abca14045 It's partly biased towards Ukraine, in that at the start the war is always called an "Uprovoked war against Ukraine." From the imperialistic Russian perspective, the war is provoked, because Ukraine following an independent course, makes it harder for Russia to expand their empire. So especially from the perspective of 50+ Russians in the countryside or for what both friend and foe consider the most special people in the world: Trump supporters, these UA items will feel biased. But after the initial first sentence, what follows is a dry analysis of the current situation on the different main frontlines, without bias. And as the comment you replied to pointed out, K&G somehow managed to present all this in their trusted format we know from their historical content. I'd say if you like K&G and are interested in military developments in the biggest war since 1945, the K&G UA items are for you.

@@TheConflictLibrary But it's still biased to one side, so for the record of history that is bad. It's like how on KnG's videos about Alexander's conquest or Ceasar's civil war they mention how historians of that age always bias victories or tone down image-damage events. It's understandable historians had to do that because thay had to, otherwise they risk getting punishment or their records erased, but most did that just to get better benefits with society and relation with their current ruler. But for KnG I doubt that's for the latter, as because if the western countries have so much freedom of speech, they wont have to fear to tell the truth even if it hurts. But here you see they push their agenda for pro-Ukrainian side just because the viewers like it(so they get more views. Just for statistics, the videos covering the ongoing war have massive views compare to other history video that came out at the same time).

Two biggies that might be covered in the next video because they've only just happened: Prigozhin is at the Africa summit in St. Petersberg right now, I imagine to tend to Wagner's African 'interests'. Photos have been released. So if he's being punished by Putin, I'm a cosmonaut. And the other: Iran allegedly rejected the Su-35 sale, apparently because Russia was only interested in selling the planes, which were cancelled Egyptian orders, and had nothing for Iran for ongoing maintenance, spares, training or even supply of 'modern' Russian munitions (munitions Russia currently can't spare). Apparently Iran wanted a tech transfer to build and maintain the Su-35s themselves, but were given a hard no. In short, like a lot of Russian arms deals, it was a used car sale. "Here's the planes, figuring out how to keep them operation is a 'you' problem".

Russia has a long history of providing quality platforms and not providing sufficient(sometimes not at all) through-life support for said platforms-- the air forces of Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Croatia, Peru, Cuba, pretty much any African operator, and the Indian Navy have all experienced this just in this century. In any event, saying 'American arms deals' makes no sense given that it's a modern Russian plane (was) being sold to a nation that is an opponent of the US. The US is *definitely not* going to be involved in any capacity, let alone providing parts or training to their opponents.

People have lost interest in the events but world governments are still giving sending aid with public support (or at least lack of public scrutiny).

The choice of sending cluster munitions is huge. Especially when compared to the Russian counterpart, while the number varies wildly cluster munitions typically have a failure rate of 2-40%. The united state's cluster munitions are on the lower end of the spectrum in general while the Pentagon estimates that the Russian failure rate is on the higher end of the scale around 40%. For every shell that detonates, that further increases the chances of destroying the target. Saving friendly and civilian casualties alike from dud munitions. On another note thanks to the K&G team for another great digest.

Yeah apparently Ukraine has launched a major thrust into the Russian lines, there has been videos of destroyed Ukrainian tanks and vehicles including one showcasing 8 to 9 Ukrainian vehicles being hit and destroyed, so far no significant advances have been reported but it appears that Ukraine has been able to finally reached the first major defense line and capture another settlement

Something seems to have gone down, though exact details are murky,. A fair number of losses reported but unclear how much... One BMP seems to have reached the line and driven in to an anti-tank ditch, no fire seen while it did so though strangely. Some claims that Ukraine may have taken a big chunk of extra ground... but no confirmation last I looked. In 24 hours we'll know a good deal more though I guess.

It's better to call it the Decolonization of Latin America, (not to be confused with the Spanish-American War). The largest was the Mexican War of Independence from Napoleonic Spain, and within that, several provinces attempted to free itself from the Mexican Empire (Texas, Rio Grande, Yucatan, etc.). Not only is this still North America, but much of that period is deeply tied to the rest of North America (the Confederate Army was allied with Napoleon's during the French Intervention in MX). Because European powers were deeply weakened, all the vassal provinces declared independence around the same time across South America. This was also where the "Latino" identity started to take root, especially against U.S. expansionism.

As a russian myself I can assume that this is a sign of preparation for future negotiations. I don't know if you know, but shortly after Prigozhin's march, Girkin-Strelkov, the leader of the DPR, was arrested in Moscow. it is quite possible that Prigozhin somehow found out about the upcoming arrests in advance, and therefore marched on Moscow, rightly fearing for his life. Obviously, at that moment he was given guarantees of immunity, so he left for Belarus without hindrance. There were also arrests of other people, one way or another connected with the DPR, but the news about them did not get into the media. Why were they arrested? There is little information, and what was available was soon classified. Most likely, this was one of the conditions for starting negotiations. Still, it just assumptions so don't get it too serious

Even if negotiations happen, I don't even know what the two sides can agree on. Speaking strictly from a territory standpoint, I can imagine Ukraine MAY be ok with permanently giving up Crimea for the sake of ending the conflict, but I'm sure they would want everything else back that Russia has gained since then. From Ukraine's perspective, Crimea would be their concession. However, from Russia's perspective, that would mean no territory gained since the start of the war, and I would find it hard to believe they would be ok with that considering their losses.

They're not sending cluster munitions because they're more lethal than normal HE rounds. They are sending them to pad the number of shells till the West can ramp up ammo production enough to start sending HE shells in large quantities, since the US already has large stockpiles of cluster munitions they were probably never going to use. From what I've heard and the footage I've seen, cluster munitions are rather less effective than HE shells, especially against entrenched enemies, but it increases the effectiveness of Ukrainian artillery just because it can keep the guns firing, which has been a problem till now.

1st Cluster munition is less effective against trench fortifications than stndard HE munition 2nd Rheinmetall announced to deliver the first 30.000 30mm airburst rounds for Gebhard at a contract volume of 500.000 rounds
@dabubba4603
@dabubba4603 9 ай бұрын
Your first point is respectfully untrue, as with any standard HE round it’s usually only useful up to a point,that point being digging deep enough and stable enough trenches to handle the caliber of artillery being fired at them, another issue is that you need to direct hit in or around the trenches to damage the men in that trench, whereas with cluster munitions you have not only a slightly higher chance of those explosives entering the trenches, you also have the capability of landing multiple explosives in the trenches, even if those munitions all don’t go off immediately that trench now becomes essentially mined for any person unlucky enough to set it off after the fact.
@iloveaviation-burgerclub-a8145
@iloveaviation-burgerclub-a8145 9 ай бұрын
@@dabubba4603 I strongly disagree in no front manner, Sir. The trenches doug out by RF are not stabilized. If one HE 155mm hits close enough the trench collapses as seen in many actual footage from burried soldiers. Theat means that you don't need to hit inside the trench but close enough. Also a collapsed trench means that soldiers have to leave cover to change position what snipers love. Also I disagree that cluster munition has a high chance of bomblets enter the trench. This is not the case. If one bomblet hits the trench the probability of a second falling in the trench is zero. And all the bombletd hitting outside the trench are just popping off on the surface. Loud bang no effect. Lets keep discussion calm as we started. Cheers mate.

@The_Mother.
@The_Mother. 9 ай бұрын
HE is the preferred munition to use against trenches because of one simple fact, Delay... a typical 155 HE shell has two settings, Point Detonation and Delay... PD is as we know it on contact with the ground, effectively using the fragments as the main killing potential... while Delay is used specifically against trenches... one of the main uses is to the punch through the roofing of dugout bunkers... and in the case of trench walkways it's not a question of getting the shell into the walkway... just close enough so that the blast of the explosion, which now takes place under the ground instead of on the surface, will cause the walls of the walkway to collapse on top of it's occupants effectively burying alive. an argument can be made that one shell will not collapse a walkway... which is true... but artillery never fires one shell... it fires enough shells, as requested by the observer, to render the target neutralized... if the target is not satisfactorily pommeled upon rounds complete, the observer simply have to request a repeat... and the fire mission is quite literally repeated... this means that while once shell can't collapse the walkway walls... 40 shells most likely will.

There is currently still more than enough political support in the US behind the scenes to support Ukraine. For the republicans this is due to the the rivalry with Russia+strong US and for the democrats (besides the same) also the general principle of helping out Ukraine. Sure there are those who oppose it, but they are mostly a loud minority. Essentiall supporting Ukraine is a much more usefull and cheap option to weaken Russia than anything else the US has done in the recent past or could have done in the near future. And a weakened Russia means they'll only have to really focus on China in the near future (if that isn't already more or less the case). And yes, your argument is also part of it.
