I appreciate your time and liked your short lesson. I am an American who was living in Ukraine before the all out war started. In 2018 I fell in love with Ukraine and it's people and retired to Ukraine. If my youngest two daughters hadn't called me crying begging me to come back home I would still be in Ukraine. I have taken several history classes on Ukrainian history. It is a little bit different depending on which country is telling it. One thing for sure Ukraine existed in written history for more than 600 years before there was any kind of Moscovite's and probably a 1000 years before written history. Слава Україні, Героям Слава! I try to make my small income into our victory And one day we will come back as Syrians now coming back to their homes The resent archeological researches approved: people of Ukrainian land constantly live here from at least 5 centuries AD. So we can consider them as Proto - Ukrainians. Not really. The Rus State formed in what is today Northern Russia and Expanded to Kiev. Moscow is the only Legitimate Succsesor becaus it was still ruled by Rurkids when Kiev was was Ruled by Poles. And your Country didnt existed when Moscow was founded.

​@@amazingukraine.irynagegelskaEastern Slavs are not Ukrainans. And the Term Kivean Rus was never used. The State was called Rus or Russkaya Zemla. The Greeks called it Rhossia. And the People were called, Rus,Russkie Ludi and Russkie Muzhie. The Term Ukraine which means Borderlands wasnt used for the Rus State and its People.

If you know history so well you should know the Great prince of Rus based in Kyiv and sent his sons to depending principles such as Novgorod, Chernihiv, Pskov and others Kyiv was the Motherland of all other Rus lands Even Russians recognise it and this is the reason Putin so studiedly want to take over Kyiv as all Ukraine But it brought unfortune to him

@@amazingukraine.irynagegelska Kiev was the second Capital of the Rus State. The Rus State formed in the North. Kiev lost all its legitmacy when poles ruled over it. At same Time Moscow was ruled by the Rurikd Dynasty.
