Nier. One of the best games ever made, one of the only games (along with possibly the Panzer Dragoon series) I consider true ART. I mean, just Chrono Trigger tier level of godliness. You simply don't understand unless you have played Nier, and fully comprehended the story and gravitas of this piece of art. It should be called Nier: The Experience, because that guy's reaction is completely valid as to what a sequel to Nier is. And now a true sequel. One that should not exist, that cannot exist, yet is. Historians will look back and see that this was truly the Golden Age of gaming. Taro-san, thank you. Just....thank you.

+mercilessv it's funny, because i played nier, but only up to the first ending and only know that there's "much, muchmuch more" to it than that, but still feel exactly like you. the gameplay variations, ost, characters, art style... without even in consideration the story, that game already is majestic. seriously, the only bad thing i can think about it is that the standard syle of combat doesn't allow much variation in combos and stuff like that, but automata seems will fix that part in an absurdly perfect way. can't wait to play it.

+epicrunner It's not bad at all, but it's the less interesting of them. Gameplay-wise is pretty good and the music outstanding. However, the Endings are not so good, and the main protaginist sometimes sucks, so yeah, you choose, but the others are way more interesting.

Cute and funny. Can't wait for more info on the project! My first reaction to Nier: Automata (Nier New Project at the time) was a little more subtle. I was sitting on the train home, watching the news sites I usually do and when I was that Nier is getting a sequel I let out a couple of tears. No joke. I was so happy that Nier is getting a new game.

linkroy 11 months later I reply to your comment. 360 version of NieR Replicant underperformed while Drakengard fans were onboard with the PS3 version. It sold fairly well on PS3 in Japan while the Western PS3 version sold the same amount the Drakengard games sell in the West which have been profitable for SE to greenlight another Taro game. Drakengard fans are the reason why NieR Automata exist today. PS4 is also PC friendly like the PS1 was so it's easy and profitable for SE to port to Steam. They don't need physical copies for the Steam.
