I enjoyed this a lot Stu. Very helpful. I need more time on scales...and what to do with them! This opened the gate for me. I've been doing a little uki yoga. It also helps when you're staying in a place where you need to be quiet. I'm teaching my Ukulele to whisper. ~Mary 🦋

Thank you, this is such a great lesson. I actually had once stumbled across how light that II actually had to press to get a good tone, but had forgotten… eventually returning to a death grip mode. Thanks again!

You CAN transform the way you touch your instrument…remember these practices take time, so keep them as a consistent routine to get the results you are looking for. And of course: they are practices, not perfections 😉 Enjoy and please click subscribe to keep in the loop!

To be honest Stu I usually gloss over your stuff as it’s above my skills and I find myself trying hard, for too long, to reproduce what you master so easily and gracefully. In doing so, I loose track of what i should be doing - just playing music. But this, whoa! So simple that a fool like me can improvise right now! I also recognize it, in its descending form, as the basis for the long riff in Let it Be. Thank you.

Hi Stu! Has anyone ever told you your like the Rob Ross of uku tutorials? The first thing I thought when I came across your channel was "if a ukulele were a person... it would look, act and speak like this guy". Lol anyways truthful jokes aside I really think your the embodiment of the ukulele and I really appreciate your clear but relaxed style of instruction. Some of the stuff you focus on has really helped me (posture and correct way to hold a uku as an example, before I got a strap) in such an immediate and marked way, really left me amazed. Anyways keep doing you man.

Thanks David 😃🎶🤙 Thankfully, no. Daily PT & Yoga keeps things limber...then I of course love to play from that place. Check in with your seat...forward on a levelchair, back upright yet relaxed. Elbows hand from shoulders. Find the center & your playing willbecome lighter & easier :) BE WELL, Stu

Enlightening!!! I've been playing my ukulele for 3 years now and I already have a huge repertoire of melodies that I like to play, but what's the difference between playing and practicing? I want to be a musician who chose the ukulele as instrument. Can you help me? ❤🎶🌷

Thanks so much Stu for this brilliant tutorial. IG'm trying hard to improve my music theory knowledge and this improvising is just so great. I shall practise and practise this. It's so relaxing and useful for our playing. Just one comment - in your handout (for which thank you) the little fret marker is not opposite the G on the 10th fret. A typo? Best wishes.
