Very nice - I also remember my mom singing this tune. Only she had a habit of only singing one or two lines over and over again, all day long - drove us nuts! 😊 Mom is 91 now and in lockdown in a nursing home due to the coronavirus. I haven’t seen her since the middle of March - she doesn’t hear well, so phone calls and Facetime are out. I mail a letter to her almost every day to let her know what’s going on. Hopefully I can see her again very soon. I’m going to work on this song so I can play it for her, over and over again - all day long. 🤣 Thanks much!

I’m sorry to hear about your mom Robert… That must be difficult to not be able to visit her. It’s one of the really heartbreaking things about this whole situation is how loved ones can’t be at the bedside. Take good care & hope she pulls through 🙏🏻

Robert Lyle, I don't usually comment, but want to say learning this song for your mom is a wonderful idea! Listening to music from their era has been proven, in old folks, to support brain function, additionally, it soothes like nothing else. Seems our memories for music are very, very powerful. Super cool.

Great Patreon lesson pack Stu. Love the chord melody into/interlude. The jam tracks are so useful,. Tennessee Waltz has always been one of my favourite songs (wish I had good ears like Capt1caveman so I could get the Silent Night connection, but hey!)

I’m so glad that you enjoy the package of tablature and play long track… I don’t hear from folks very often about how they enjoy it or use the play long track so good to hear from you 🙏🏻 Play on! 🤙🎶
@letsrememberthis4 жыл бұрын
Well Stu, they certainly hit a ‘chord’ with me. Most especially the embellishments you offer. Those touches make the world of difference to a tune’s value. Some are a bit mind-boggling for me as I take baby steps, others are surprisingly easy to incorporate. And as a ‘musical baby’, the jam tracks (with voice off) are training me to understand the relationship between the other instruments and my own playing, to hear and to respond to the progress of the tune. I really need that training!

Peace to all whom may read this. May God the Father, Jesus Christ & The loving Holy Spirit wrap there loving arms around you and keep you safe. May our Lord Jesus give you the strength you need to endure, Our Lord Jesus knows how tough things are for everyone,. Give your life to Christ ♥️ Jesus while there is still time, Jesus Love's you more than you know! Do the following: Repent, Read your Bible daily, Charity ( give to the poor) Outwardly confess the Lord Jesus Christ as your lord and savior! Say this prayer to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.... Dear Father, I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came down to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life. Lord Jesus, I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity. Father, Jesus - I now believe that I am truly saved and born again. Thank You Father. Thank You Jesus. Amen, Amen & Amen!..
