Part of the problem is also the 20mph speed limits which makes most cars inefficient by having to operate in the wrong gear thereby causing more pollution than they would if they could be operated more efficiently.

It's difficult to drive through Wales on lanes with continually changing speed limits from 30mph to 20mph to 50mph in a short distance, typically followed by large, double decker, lorries transporting animals and with on coming horseboxes, SUVs and horse trailers.

I was in London 2 days ago with my car which isn't ulez friendly so had to pay £17 odd on the charge we have 20mph areas in my area but not ulez but I have never seen so many bus lanes and cycle lanes which held me up it took 2 hours I get in and 2 hours to get out I'm glad it was a one off

Since I've been driving cars I've had no money. It would be enough to just pay the cost of the car the fuel and repairs but it doesn't even stop there. The real running cost of owning a car is ridiculous. It's taxed I every conceivable way

When I was a teenager it was possible to pass your bike test at 17 & be licensed to ride any motorcycle, not any more, there are power limits for the bike & age limits for when the rider can start riding which go well past the age of consent. Does a car driver have to pass 3 tests to drive a Porsche?

The only thing that should happen for a ULEZ fine not being paid is a 1 month suspension of ones drivers license at least that is what we do here in Florida USA for failure to pay ordinary speeding and red light tickets. Making a car and even house collateral for people not complying with unconstitutional city legislation is a human rights violation and those balifs stealing and auctioning cars off to scrappers to rid the UK of traditional gasoline vehicles should be charged with Grand Theft Auto and given a sentence to life in Federal Prison without any hope for payroll and they and their household should be sued for the money needed to buy a traditional gasoline car new or old. If no gasoline cars are around then a request for car companies like ford toyota and gm should be rewuired to make a custom older gasoline car model. Also those who have had houses stolen should have the new homeowner evicted so the rightful owner can get their house back with money to repair the house when damaged.
