Is it a great idea by the government to help with the poor air quality in London and other cities???
OR is it just another SCAM that is designed to increase the gap between the rich and the poor??? 🤔

💯bang on with this rant Marcus. Simply put if the government and mayor khan REALLY cared about the environment they would simply ban ALL non compliant vehicles from entering, but instead if you pay the TAX you can drive your smokey vehicle in the zone and pollute the environment as much as you like!! How the fu@k does that make sense😝

100% 😎 EV’s being zero emissions is a lie, based on a bit of truth. There is no tailpipe emissions. This is true. However, all they’ve done is displace their emissions to the factories, the mines, and all the heavy equipment to produce the batteries. And the funniest part of all, the electrical grid consumes massive amounts of fossil fuels in producing the energy for the ev’s, so there’s only a small fraction in savings compared to an ice vehicle after the production of the battery is accounted for. I better stop here, or I’ll be typing for days. Cheers 🍻

@@bobuncle8704 even funnier part is it takes 25kWh to make a gallon so at best 75 miles but more like 50. Where the ev at worst is 75 miles on 25kWh but normally 100 miles. Is ULEZ a con definitely is taking advantage of the con a good idea also yes.

Hi Marcus spot on mate. Ulez didn’t lower emission because their was no issue on pollution from cars, there more pollution on the underground. We are a small country & will not make a difference as other countries don’t have these zones. It’s purely greed, we have the highest petrol, electric, gas prices in Europe. But it’s ok to pass on all the cars that the government got people to trade for £2000 grant for an EV to supposedly pollute oversea’s. Or is it to pay for our friends with boats?

Khan brought in 20MPH zones all over London, then did the low traffic neighbourhoods, basically bringing traffic to a stand still. Once he brought traffic to a stand still, he had a reason to bring in the idea of ULEZ and keep expanding it. Let's not mention the 'Control' electric vehicles will give government, with Geofencing & the ability to switch them off. It's an unfair Tax.... Let's not mention the overspending Khan has 'apparently' done on wasted projects!!! It's an unfair Tax......

​@marcushayesford Yep. I'm just up the road from the ULEZ, 1 min away & I can't vote him out.... I used to work down by the Ace, half a mile inside the first extension and got mullered, took early retirement instead. A bit extreme maybe, but other ideas in my mind... 👍👍👍👍

This is a good Rant, I find myself very likeminded with Marcus on these subjects, I didn’t adhere to lockdown rules, I lived on Eastcote high street at the time and the high street was still active people were out doing their thing, I had a balcony and life was good, I didn’t get vaccinated coz fk that, and ulez doesn’t affect me now I don’t live in London anymore, and I’m happy Marcus addressed this because I kept wondering how was able to drive them old bangers in the manor 😁

It’s good to finally hear you have a rant on these issues as they will ultimately result in the loss of your hobby. At the moment classic cars are a way to avoid some of this nonsense but I can’t see that lasting now Stalin is in charge. They may not object to us owning classics as long as we don’t use them to avoid their tyranny.

We got lez up in scotland not as strict as ulez but no diesel pre 2016 and 2003 petrol yet my dad has a 2011 range rover l322 autobiography black edition 4.4 v8 tdi which is allowed to enter these zones. Hmmm I wonder who else might drive range rovers

Hi Marcus if you look at political history these types of taxes upon people since the early 1900s and the infancy of the conception of the labour party so far communist left have always been doing this because if they have people working for major corporation businesses then they can take full control because the smaller people like you and me if we independently running our own businesses they cannot take control of us. I used to work for the Royal mail and you were probably in the union so the backhanded kind of way you did actually pay loyalty to the labour party
