Good video. Funny how the seat was worn enough to bleed by. Nice find 💪🏼💪🏼

Ulises Palacios nice . So even with the pin closed , refrigerant would still leaked by ? I’ve seen it on liquid solenoid valves , few times , since I work on smaller stuff . Good shit shout out from SoCal 😎

Really interesting, it seems like it would take some serious effort to damage that seat......

HVACR VIDEOS yeah. I wondered that myself. They are pretty strong motors and I didn’t see any visual damage on the seat surface

Ulises Palacios the needle is stainless and the seat is soft brass, after time and many hard close off’s.....there ya go

Thanks for watching. I’ve had this issue on 2 trane chillers.

I’m having the exact same issue with a 09’ cgam120. I looked on 360 for parts but there is 3 different part numbers for modules and motors. Do you remember the part numbers for the angle valve and the stepper motor?
@UlisesPalacios4 жыл бұрын
Creative Tradesman what’s the serial number. I just replaced one on a 70 ton yesterday. You will need to order the part number that starts with Val and it’s a good idea to replace the module as well
@creativetradesman68334 жыл бұрын
Ulises Palacios is the stepper motor a MOT or an MOD?

What did you use to take the valve apart?
@UlisesPalacios2 жыл бұрын
I used a Klein skinny jaw adjusted wrench to Hold the valve on the flat spots and a dang pipe wrench to loosen the motorized part of the valve. I heard a crows foot works also

There were some software issues with those LLIDS/Controller early on. All you have to do is unbind the EXV and then rebind and download new software to LLID.
@UlisesPalacios4 жыл бұрын
Anthony Mastello yup. . I have the bulletin. This chiller didn’t fall into those years but I went ahead and updated the software. It’s a 2017. Have you come across this issue?
@anthonymastello15734 жыл бұрын
@@UlisesPalacios I haven't. Do you know if someone changed the EXV recalibration time in the feature settings?

Anthony Mastello no. It doesn’t look like it. It’s set to every 24 hours.
