It’s definitely the freckle product! I’ve never seen it go on that dark before. It practically looks like an eyeliner! But it also is kind of hard to do. It takes practice. And even then sometimes it just doesn’t come out right.Are used to practice when i was at home by myself

Happy birthday Jen! I use a lot of J Cat beauty. I own lots of their products. Their powder foundation and concealers are wonderful. I use the bronzer by Essence in cream light and it’s a amazing. The freckle pen isn't your fault! I use lots of freckle products and that one is wayyyyy too opaque. I didn't like it either. One of my favorite freckle 'hacks' is using a eyeliner brush and dipping it into a more red-toned brown eyeshadow and stippling it on the face. The shadow is nice because you can kinda blend it away to look sheer without it turning grey.

Take me on a freckle journey with you, yay!!! Just don’t drag it. I’m eager to try soon. Try freckling the back of your hand, then after you find a satisfactory, natural looking pattern…sponge it up and apply to face so that your face is actually third application. It may look more natural

I , personally, like when people learn on camera. I know you've mentioned learned off camera but, learn on camera too! In real -time vs just explaining can create a better picture of why or why not to do something a certain way. A half face of do's and a half face of don't 's on video for comparison is SO helpful vs just describing verbally. I HATE matte liquid lipsticks but NYX used to have /has a liquid one in a tube with a puffer top on it, LOVED that one. Much less bung-hole lip and less dry for me. Always moisturized lips first help. 💜 Good video Jen. Love the top also. 💜

So as some who is heavily freckled naturally, I think the color of the freckles pen is a little too dark and cool-toned. I say this as someone with a cool undertone, my freckles are a more reddish brown. If you can find a medium to dark auburn color, that might work best. Also, Happy Birthday!

I put foundation on my lips yes, but for a different reason. I feel like my lips don't have a sharp edge, so I conceal it with my foundation then I use a lip liner to create a new lip line 🤷‍♀😅

I can't with those freckles! 😆 But I'm so glad you did them.. bc, tbh I've been dying to try the whole fake freckle thing even though I am 48 lol.. it's like you said, makeup is supposed to be fun.. and if it's not al PERFECT when you're done so what! It's not that big of a deal. Lol Also I have that halo glow high lighter, and I love it! It's so fun! I even use it on my eyes!

With inky brush tip freckle products like that one, I dab a few small spots on my fingertip and then apply it to my face with that. I never directly put it on my face because I find the same issue - the spots get too big and it’s hard to control the placement, saturation, etc. With my finger technique it looks just like my natural freckles! Hope that helps anyone who wants to use that kind of product

The one time I noticed a difference between a setting powder and a finishing powder is the Dior Powder No Powder. The shine on that thing!! 😳 Too powerful if used as a setting powder, but the shimmer looks lovely if used just to finish.

In regards to the essence bronzer: I’m suuuuuper fair and sometimes I use it to “blend” my regular bronzer into my skin tone. I don’t particularly love the product as a bronzer itself, but it works great as a blending tool when your actual bronzer is just a little too dark to blend seamlessly. 😊

I’m 43 and I put on fake freckles every time I do makeup. Which is maybe once a month. But I love them. My youngest daughter is a redhead and has lots of freckles so I always tell her I’m copying her. She’s 21 so she’s only sometimes flattered.

•Sometimes the shade can impact the look of coverage. Shades that are too light can look like they're sitting on top and you can see gray cast beneath. Probably bc a shade down would have a tiny bit more of yellow red and blue instead of the white base, and that would help counteract the darkness more. So if you feel like you might like the formula try couple of shades (sample them) • Try the freckles before setting the base

My Clinique foundation, Cover Girl concealer and a few other things bubble up a bit. I don’t know if it’s because I shake any every makeup product or what. Most of the time, it isn’t so much the product that leaks from the top but whatever they use as part of the ingredients…it usually looks like a clear liquid/oil if I don’t shake the container…🤷🏼‍♀️

Happy birthday! I also don't get the difference between setting and finishing powders. I wear powder foundation if I wear foundation, so I don't put it on my lips. My trans wife does wear cream foundation, and she usually has some on her lips for the same reason. It is hard to go around the lips. Sometimes she wipes off what got on her lips, and sometimes she puts her lip product on top of what's there. I love those J Cat blushes. I have Angel Face and Honey Bunches. I have been tempted many times to get Sweet Pea, but I have too much blush! At least Phoenix's friends probably got a kick out of your look. 😆

I use the essence bronzer and like the darker one on me. I'm fair skinned, and you just need a little, and I add a little to build it. The light is very light, and you need the medium to build it.

Watching in my bedroom as I sit on the bed doing my own makeup and the freckles look good and like rl from my view here. 42" LG. We have a lot of ppl here who have the full face of freckles ..idk what particular demo that is but where they're more freckle than face, if u know what I mean😊? So maybe I'm used to more freckles Also, yes, I do foundation all over because I want ultimate smoothness when applying and then I put on my lip balm and wipe it away along with the foundation when I do my final lip color

Happy Birthday my sister Gemini!! My birthday was the 9th. Always nice having sister Gemini's around! Anyway, you put out another great video. I think the freckles looked better before the concealer went on top. The ones on the nose should have been a bit smaller but hey we all have trial and error on new products. I think the elf palette as far as colors were very close therefore didn't show much change from one shade to another. The mascara look like straight up crap. I don't wear mascara much but even I wouldn't buy that. My lips are ALWAYS dry therefore I very rarely wear lipstick either because of having to constantly put balm or chapstick on. The color was very pretty too bad it didn't work out well. Colourpop is my go to when it comes to lip. I love their Lux gloss and the winnie the pooh hunny pot. Boy does that work great for me. Sorry for the long post. Great video and look forward to the next one!!

I have that NYX powder and I use it as setting powder. Bought it because I wanted to replace my Make Up Forever's HD powder. It's pretty good but not as good as MUF in keeping shine off my t-zone. But for the price difference, well...

I layer concealers. Either a moisturising corrector with medium to full coverage concealer. Or a moisturising concealer with a low to medium or high coverage concealer. All depends on whether it's for full makeup or the natural 'it's my day off and I'm pretending I'm not wearing make up' look 😂 the point is to make sure one of them is moisturising as higher coverage formulas tend not to be.

The freckle pen tho…As a freckled person, I am mortified by products like this. LOL. I suspect that it is important to not drag your finger as you tap because it looks like a very wet formula and it seems to be smearing the product sideways creating a line. My freckles are not regularly shaped nor are they the same shade as my hair, so perhaps a lighter color might be better for your skin tone? It doesn’t look as bad on camera as I think you may think it does or as it might in person?

I have tried the essence, contour palette, and I found it to be chalky and not very good. On the other hand, I have use essence blushes and love them. Their highlighters are OK for the price point but I’m sure there’s others out there that could be better. I also like essence baked blushes, which are beautiful in my opinion.

Hi Jen, as far as elf eyeshadows the little minis are great. I happen to like them all and they work well for me. I love them because they’re small and I can carry them in my purse. I find the color last long and they’re great for the price point especially if you’re just starting out Using make up also for eyebrows, I like the elf liquid wow eyebrow gel. I also like for eyebrows LA Colors brow, pencil, dark brown, find it at the dollar tree. I also like from elf the HD powder.

Sometimes i WISH there was a return option in Europe. Sadly if u don't like the product, if the product doesn't work, if u have an allergy, u have to stick with it. Give it to someone or throw it away because thye don't accept returns..

I feel like I can tell a big difference between setting powder and finishing powder because my skin is super oily and if I use a finishing powder to set my foundation, my makeup is going to melt off way faster. But if you aren’t oily I don’t know that it makes as much of a difference.

The foundation and the lipstick color are gorgeous on you, at least initially😜 P.S. The audio is really soft on this one. It was the loudest and clearest when you were outside, but for a large part of the video, it was a struggle.
