I don’t want to sound ignorant but why does it matter. I don’t have the money to buy expensive brands but my foundation are usually different brands. Some brands to have the perfect tone for my skin but usually I just look at other brands and mix match hoping for the best. Hi, I have a collagen disorder (my body makes it wrong) Yes, it is in our skin and that’s usually what most people think of, but it’s actually the main structural protein in the majority of our bodies. All of our muscles, connective tissues, and organs. Having “messed up” collagen affects so much more than just the skin. I have weak muscles that can’t support my skeleton properly, I have digestive issues, dental complications and eye problems. Thankfully I don’t have the sub-type that affects the heart the most but mine still isn’t a picture of perfection either. Silver lining is that the way it affects my skin is making me have very thin soft skin that doesn’t wrinkle as much, so I look younger than my actual age. Also I would be very rich if I got money every time someone asked why I can’t just take collagen supplements and use collagen skincare to help me with my illness. 😂 So yeah, collagen is not just skin deep ❤

As someone who is allergic to dogs (luckily not anaphylactic-level severe, but enough to get stuffy/runny nose, watery eyes, hives, etc) and whose allergies trigger their asthma, the idea of putting something that’s been contaminated with possible dog hairs, dog dander (dog dandruff/shedded skin cells), or even possibly dog saliva anywhere near my face is HORRIFYING. I have to avoid touching my face and wash my hands every time I touch a dog because of my allergies, so unknowingly putting something contaminated with dog on my face is terrifying. Jaclyn’s dismissal of the contaminated lipsticks is absolutely disgusting for that exact reason. I could not have trusted that I would be getting a lipstick that wouldn’t give me an allergic reaction (and I’m not allergic to cosmetics). In fact, based on the fact that dogs were in the facility (maybe not at the exact same time, but who knows how well they deep-cleaned the factory after that), it’s likely that even more of those lipsticks (and whatever products still come out of Oxygen if they still allow dogs into their lab) were contaminated with dog dander. Dog dander can be microscopic, so it’s not something you would just pull off of a lipstick. I’m lucky that I’m not severely allergic to dogs, and I’m lucky that I don’t have anaphylactic reactions, but, for those of us that unfortunately do, Jaclyn’s dismissal of her lipsticks being contaminated with unknown substances (not including the legit metal shards and glass shards people were pulling out) is legitimately DANGEROUS and appalling. She’s EXTREMELY lucky that no one (as far as I’m aware) had an allergic reaction to whatever substances had contaminated her products, as that could’ve very likely caused a lawsuit, if not health violations and fines from the FTC and FDA.

Yeah, the lip gloss was fine until it went to the gross stuff... Even other more out there or "risque" product names don't draw parallels to something like a bacterial infection that taps into negative feelings. Like, the Orgasm blush is risque, but is associated with positive feelings. Most of those names were neutral at best and off-putting and gross at worst.
