The VXR just got a brand new custom 3.5" turboback exhaust from CSK Race Exhausts, to replace the 2.5" Cobra catback!

Shocked how quiet it actually sounded was expecting it to be deafening top work mate !! Deffo night and day from the cobra 👍🏻

I have no idea how that Cobra was so loud honestly 😅 it's still loud in person but sounds so nice now rather than obnoxious

Sounds well, something along with lines I want. Mines running Cobra double de cat with two silencers but it really drones on the motorway and pops away on the overrun

just came across your channel mate, nice little video and nice work mate.

I have a 2.5" straight through and I love it round town but on long trips it does my head in like

That's what it was like 😅 couldn't help but smile when you were out for a spirited drive, but when you just want to get to work in a morning or you're on the motorway it could be a pain

Love the H VXR. Would love one as my daily. I currently have a H SRI for daily and J Astra VXR for show. 🏆

Nice one! I would clean the rear whiper. That looks so wrong if it has it. :)

Hmm, I dewipered my last couple of cars and it did look good, but I'm on the fence about the Astra. It would look so much better without it but I can't exactly undo it if I regret it 😅

Hey up mate, I know and sorry to be rude about this, I have been looking at a rough price for a custom unique exhaust on mine, one that’s not been done on a Astra before hand, but can I say what was the rough price from csk exhausts, I live within 30 mins of them. Just wanting to know a price

No worries at all mate, it was about £2200 total. 3.5" means the material costs are quite a bit higher, and way more labour involved to get it to fit. I think it's about what you'd expect compared to an off the shelf system, like the Piper 3" turboback is currently £1056 from courts

@@JamesBalazs cheers matey, I know the exhausts are very expensive these days, I know people are wanting to make there bread and jam, I do think that’s quite a lot though 😅

Way overpriced that. Plenty of exhaust places will build and fit full system under £1000. Had a cat back done on my vxr for £350 downpipe would've been an extra £200

How much bhp is it?
@JamesBalazs2 жыл бұрын
Only 240bhp mate, the car is on the standard map for now.

Unless you have a big turbo you're likely losing lower if it's 3.5 inch right through on a stock turbo
@JamesBalazs2 жыл бұрын
Downpipe is 3" for now, so I'd hope being 3.5" from the cat back it performs similarly to how a 3" straight through would 😁 Dyno will reveal all though when it's next on one 🤞

Should hope a VR6 sounds better than a rubbish 4 pot regardless of what exhaust is on it 😉 R32s do sound lovely. At the end of the day it's better than the cheap Cobra system that was on it before, miles better than the hairdryer noise these make stock, and won't cause any issues trying to reach the power goals I have for the car. You have to pay to play, and spending £500-1000 more than most people do on an exhaust, to do it right the first time around, isn't a huge deal compared to the cost of a big turbo conversion imo.
