"Just be creative with all your attacks". That's where my problem is. I just hit the real attack and then the strong attack for a combo and think that's it. This helped a lot and was easy to understand, thanks!

Check out "Warriors Dojo" and "Pixel Rich Games" channels' for some great in-depth character combat techniques for each individual character. Great if you're trying to get better with the tougher or more style-specific characters (Riju, Yunobo & Teba come to mind!) "Chickenz" is one other but I prefer WD the most. This video was great for more all around techniques, though!

What I like about the secret characters you can get in this game is that they're the last things one would expect. Heck, two of those gained during normal play was somewhat unexpected with one of them being kind of a surprise.

I also like that they're (mostly) really... Style specific to their combat. They either are for specific purpose (like Riju, or Teba/Rivali) or have a really different mechanic (Kohga, or Yunobo). Pretty cool, especially if you take the time to git gud with each, very satisfying to be able to switch on the fly to the perfect character for the moment and just smash all

Absolutely KEY to Very Hard mode, as are perfect dodges & guards (but to a much lesser extent if you can stun lock them)

I'm an ascetic person like I care more about being true to who the characters are than just being actually good at the game basically i use different battle styles depending on what character I'm playing as (this is kinda dumb but whatever) Power characters: sorta kinda button mashers they still use combos and stuff but they don't wait for the weak point gauge to appear to start attacking Tactical characters: basically the preferred battle style for the game where you wait for the weak point gauge to appear and than attack making use of combos and using the battlefield to their advantage Gentle characters (this is where the categories get kinda dumb): they make ample use of the dodge and block features to avoid the enimies normally not the ones getting a ton of KOs Bossy/leader characters: usually the ones I switch to before giving orders they always defend outposts if they can and will never retreat If you read all of this, thank you I guess

Bonus Tip: If you do a backwards aka neutral dodge with Link you can get quite few frames to have the bow have an air bonus

Is there any way to remove a Seal from a weapon? Nothing sucks quite like having your highest base damage weapon stuck with a bonus to finding items in grass. Except, of course, screwing up your weapon build on the Master Sword. I am being extra careful on that front, but leveling it up with only blank weapons is slow going, and I haven't found my first Attack Speed Up++ for Link yet.

There are icons on the map that look like a house with an upwards-pointing arrow (upgrade something on the map). There will be one which will allow you to remove seals. Could be that it unlocks by activating some of these icons or by playing through a certain story mission. I know I was about halfway through the story when I unlocked it.

@@BenXC The tent icon with an up arrow is what you're looking for, but there are two to watch for. One unlocks the ability to remove seals from a weapon, but another allows you to select a single one instead of all if them. Simply look for any tents that appear on the map and see what new feature or discount is available from giving them materials.

Hyrule Warriors and this second game were made by the same developers who made Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orrochi, as well as Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2. What I like is the attention to detail in particular to the Hyrule and Dragon Quest games, working within parameters and art styles of the games they're from.

Only use magic rod on Lynel... Moblin is way too easy to waste rod on.

There is a stun lock combo with link in the game thats better than this combo. 5Ys into X, hold X for extra X attack then stasis. Do it again in stasis and then the weak point Guage should be depleted fully. Deliver blow, then repeat the 5Ys to X, then hold X for extra damage and stasis again(mind you, you need the upgraded stasis for this to work). And that's how you stun lock with link. I heard Impa can do it too but I haven't seen anything showing it. Anyway have fun!😁
