Important information, 09:52 is incorrect: Currently Canted Sights are bugged, so ALL canted sights will have scope glint, just like your main sight (scope). Its not "gamebreaking" in any sense, but it is very important to be aware of. If your main sight has scope glint, your canted sights will have scope glint too. Also, another thing I tend to do when sniping, is that when people get a body-shot on me, they tend to peek recklessly, in order to get the finishing shot. They will often peek at the exact same spot, so even if I'm bleeding (they think I will have gone behind cover to bandage), I will tank the first shot, wait until the peek, and THEN kill them. Only to bandage afterwards. I call this the "No U".
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
To be fair - it makes sense you'd still give off glint. Your high vis scope is still pointing right at them when you're a canted sight. Thanks for the correction!

Glad some people still make content of battlebit! BY FAR my favourite shooter, hoping they will realese a 1.0 patch sooner or later. The gameplay loop is just so satisfying and fun. No BS battlepass or pay to win crap! Hope they will realese pure game modes, so i don't have to go out every time it's capture the flag
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
I'd personally like to see game modes that make each life matter more - BBR follows a traditional arcade shooter format which results in each kill/death feeling a bit "pointless", especially in the largest player count mode. As people spawn in 5 seconds, it doesn't feel too rewarding to get a kill and you don't value your own life as much when playing. The other end of the spectrum is games like Tarkov, where each kill/death has so much impact and character progression to it. Not saying they need to go THAT extreme, of course. Battlebit is a game I dip into when I'm playing by myself and don't want to think too much - While that's a good niche, it's not the best for long-term player retention as the gameplay loop lacks any kind of deeper meaning.

I find playing with the drone really useful for flanking and countersniping, because you can instantly see the enemy team and then decide how to pick them off one by one without getting countersniped. Also if you put landmines/claymores on the drone you can use it against infantry, or with C4 against buildings or even stationary vehicles.
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
Yeah, I was considering whether to include the drone, but I don't run it and think rope is better, particularly as anyone on your team can share the rope. Rope would enable higher KPM play than a drone. Doing things like pieing corners and building good covers enables you to take enemies one-on-one without "wasting time" on the drone. Drone + mines is one of the worst loadouts IMO, it could be switched to situationally, but it usually takes way too long to pull off a drone attack for 1-2 kills on average, when you can get more kills by positioning with your sniper rifle and also still have two gadgets instead of zero (after the drone attack) to situationally use to help. I could understand drone instead of rope, but I would never give up c4.

Appreciate this! I was disappointed when they nerfed sniper where it's no longer viable to hold a position for extended periods of time from long range without revealing your position even with a suppressor. This guide provides a way to adapt to these changes. One question: Do you think snipers should receive extra points for long distance kills on enemies holding objectives? This would incentivise guarding obj from a safe distance as opposed to picking off random targets. Let's say a sniper kills somebody at 200-300 meters on a point, they should get a bonus for that, on top of long distance rewards at 300 meters.
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
I wouldn't like to enforce only one style of play as the "rewarded" playstyle, in your example your most important thing to do would be to stop enemy snipers and mg's using vantage points over the objective, which wouldn't reward pts. There are plenty of recons who do enjoy sitting 500m away just countersniping all game, and whilst it's common to rag on them, it's always been a thing in battlefield style games for a reason!

DMRs lack of a one hit kill option which means you'd lose to a good sniper. Dmrs are easier to pick up and do well with due to the fire rate, but snipers scale better with player skill, so over time you'd get more headshots with it and if you practice enough to get a godlike mastery of it (definitely not me xD), it's by far the best for supportive play. Dmrs are now better for exo helms though due to no one hit. Plus, it's just a game so use whatever you find fun at the end of the day.

What is your opinion on zeroing your scope? Is it better just to aim high for the 500 meter and up challenges?
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
I personally don't bother with zeroing, in the video this is why I said to pick a rifle and scope and stick with it, you can learn over time how many mildots to use for long shots and horizontal mildots for moving targets at range. You're going to be much faster just sending a bullet and thinking "higher/lower" than using a range finder and adjusting, and over time you'll learn and know your scope instinctively. Edit: not using range finder and adjusting also means you don't take your eyes of the target if they're moving/evading you. It's one of those real life useful things that doesn't translate as well into video game land. In the vid theres plenty of 500m+ kill clips and that's with an unzeroed 8x scope, some with the first shot!

@ClippyTactical7 ай бұрын
for snipers, the patch notes in 2.2.2 say: Snipers - Medium range scopes glint will be visible between 200m 800m So it's only at certain ranges they'll glint. But medium scopes work differently on snipers, DMRs and AR's. so you might have been looking at the same scope on an assault rifle which from what I understand, never glints. I prob need to make a mythbusters video on it though as it's really complex. Wish it was just 1 scope = same rules for every weapon.

@rhys0511069 ай бұрын
Could you have done the same in these situations with an M110?
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
I've debated this myself, and DMR's are similar on paper, but actually play very differently in practice. The key difference is snipers can achieve a consistent one hit kill, unlike DMR's (ignoring exohelms which DMRs are better against currently). DMR's TTK is a lot slower than a sniper, regardless of your skill with a DMR - a good sniper vs a DMR will have the sniper winning every time. Snipers scale harder with player skill is my point. If you're going to grind long term, you would keep learning how to be more lethal with the sniper rifle, whereas DMR's skill ceiling is less due to not having the one hit kill option to go for. Because you don't need to rely on your pistol and you don't need to rechamber the rifle each shot, positioning matters less too, they end up playing like a slightly more defensive M4 or AUG AR to me. I think this is why I lean towards sniper rifles - even though you're right, a DMR can cover the majority of the situations in this video as well.
@rhys0511069 ай бұрын
@@ClippyTactical Amazing video by the way. When I'm not running M110 recon I'm normally w-keying behind the lazy sniper nests with a P90 to get a clean 5/6 snipers in one go. Can you make a Sniper M200 build?
@shikikankillzone42398 ай бұрын
You know what I hate? If you're not sniping from a higher angle, you're instantly put at a massive disadvantage, meaning that ground stealth shooting (Which was already shit since they removed the grass fade around your scope) is now just asking to lose every shoot-out, even when you have the upper hand and can open fire without being noticed. Why? BBR team refuses to make bullets penetrate the same enemy, meaning that anyone that is aiming down sights, essentially uses their hand as a shield for their head and become immortal to you firing a M200 round directed at their skull because their Oakley gloves do a better job than helmets Now combine that with trails, the bullet whizzing/crack, middle range scopes glint, and the proliferation of overpowered DMRs, and you've essentially made it so every sniper that actually wants to support their team by sticking close to them, something other players always roast Recons for, is punished for trying to play the game.
@ClippyTactical8 ай бұрын
All of these things can happen but that's why cover is the number one thing a sniper needs to seek. You will get some bodyshots unless you're literally aimbotting, but if you're in a position where hitting a bodyshot means you definitely die, that's under your control. You have the fastest ttk in the game, you just have to always be actively putting yourself in postions that let the sniper rifle succeed.

@@2ndnotmain yeah, scopes are personal preference but mid range scopes have some advantage for sniping. disadvantage of c4 is in my eyes that you are destroying cover and stairwells inside the buildings. i personally prefer the anti personal mines, they are better than the claymore for me. because the claymore is far more visible with the strings. i lay the mines often 2 floors down of that one i want to go in. i hate all players who use rpgs against inf and buildings...that is just annoying. rpgs is for vehicles. rpgs should only be available on big maps with vehicles.
@ClippyTactical9 ай бұрын
I agree that mines are better than claymores in every way. I'd argue C4 is much more useful than mines, but if you prefer mines, they tend to be better with a more passive sniping playstyle where you're sitting around edge of map or near your spawn with 15/20/40x scopes. This style tends to lead to less situational awareness too which the mines can help with. About destroying stairs: that's a benefit to you! Remember you have a grappling hook to still access higher floors, and it stops most people sneaking up on you if you cut the rope afterwards.
