Also, if you are new: 1. Do not go for Squadleader you must know a thing or two. 2. Do not go for Commander you need to know the basics of the game and quite a bit more internal for fighting strategies, etc. 3. Do not take ANY sort of armour, learn the basic vehicles and controls and basic game mechanics and functions first. 4. Communicate 5. Play the active objective do not roam like a headless chicken, don't go for crazy loadouts ask what SL recommends and play it - boring or not you are contributing to the entire faction. 6. MAP! LOOK AT THE MAP!!! Check if you think somebody is enemy/friendly, check the objectives, marks of vehicles, infantry, etc.

Yeah, I looked at it more about what they go against, how they are marked on the map.. etc -- They tend to have to fight BTRs, for example, so it made sense in the context of what a new player might see and engage with. Whereas m113 fits apc a little easier visually, so I thought that would resonate easier.

not to be that guy, but, SPG stands for self-propelled gun. Heat is High Explosive Anti Tank (bec it does more than just explode) and there is just normal HE High Explosive rounds in the game, and they do behave diff from HEAT, less vic damage and more boom. 🙃(I would know, couldnt even kill a HUMVEE with 2 M60T 120mm HE rounds earlier today...)

I have 1700 hours. My advice is to BOUND and also use defilade to your advantage. Move deliberately from cover to cover. Even concealment can save your life. Before crossing large areas, think about the best route that will give you the quickest access to hard cover. Buildings, trees, just anything that can keep you from getting shot if spotted. Do your best to stay near hard cover. Which brings me to defilade. Defilade is just dips in the terrain that can shield you from view and bullets. If you properly use defilade you can pull off huge flanks, being able to move relatively large distances without being spotted or at the very least keep you from getting shot. Proper use of defilade can put you in very advantageous positions. Use the terrain as much as you can. These two principles alone will make you DRASTICALLY more effective. There are many videos detailing these real life principles if you wish to learn more about them. They are doctrine in modern real life combat. Learn them. Apply them.

My tip for getting into action faster: Don't just spawn immediately at base / first available fob, ask the squad lead or look at the map where he is. If you rush to spawn in without thinking you're likely to spend the next 5-10 minutes walking to get into the fight, take a second and check the map, communicate and you might only have to wait a minute. Spawning at the base at round start is not always good either, a fast way to get a squad into a fight is to take a light vehicle with 1-3 people and put down a rally point at halfway point of the map, but you cannot fit the whole squad in those types of vehicles so if all 9 ppl spawn its going to be a nightmare to get everyone into fight as a coherent force.

1700 hours. Been playing since release on steam when it was infantry ONLY and just a handful of maps and very few factions. The first 10 minutes of every game was just both teams walking a couple thousand meters toward the center objective 😂 those conversations during the ruck were always interesting lol. I have the Veterans Day 2017(18?) RPG-7 and LAW skin drops, I rarely see those in game.

@@Slay3Kilo it was wild back then lol. Truly a walking simulator. When we got logis and transports we were HYPED 😂 but then there was no way to flip them back over when you wrecked them, so there ended up being flipped vehicles in the most random and useless places on the map, which was a major problem because we had no way to run supplies after someone wrecked our vics. I've heard so many people get cussed clean out for rolling a logi 🤣

The best things to know for Squad is this one very simply but somehow very difficult thing: 1. Communication (a good microphone is mandatory) 🧐 When you join a squad, establish a good relationship with your squadmates and your squadleader. When he asks a question or relays information properly respond to it and don't make it only "yes/no", otherwise we feel like we talking to a brick wall. If we ask you something or tell you anything, respond. If I say something or you barely talk within the duration of the game personally I'm removing you from my squad and yes, I do write down your username on a note and if you ever join me in the future I just auto-kick you. I cannot say how important communication and constant communication is. Being shy, awkward, quiet, basic? Then the game is not for you. Think about other people too we are all humans don't make us think we talking to a damn wall. 😅😅
@TheAngryBiscuitchannel22828 күн бұрын
Being quiet is perfectly fine in squad, it’s much better than constantly yapping, all you need to do is just give information to your squad when needed
@_kenzo127 күн бұрын
@@TheAngryBiscuitchannel228 Yeah, but having the voice fully quiet and empty is boring and makes you seem like your teammates are ass and dont know how to do #$".
@Suomiwimbula27 күн бұрын
Constant communication is annoying and detrimental unless you have something of value to say. Responding to anything but questions is cringe and embarrassing larping by wannabe tacticool operators, you think when we were actually out in the field all squad members radioed affirmative/negative? lol no. If excluding call outs everyone is quiet and follows orders thats a sign that they're actually squared away and focused which I much prefer to classroom clown behavior.

I got a question for yall who havent took any breaks from the game in a while, when tf did they do the update that reduced the amount of logis that teams get from 3 to 2? And when they changed some of them to tracked logis instead of regular trucks? Like about which update or month was it? I feel like it was hard enough trying to get supplies with 3 regular logi trucks but now people will take our 2 logi trucks and die with them both or they get abandoned mid map and we have no heli or good heli pilot and the game just turns to a steam roll and rally point/running sim again. Or we get the tracked logis (ik some of them are based on the type of faction voted now and they get aquatic ones) and no one wants to drive them far or dont wanna drive them back because they feel wonky when turning/bad FOV on them/ or just slower than regular trucks. Multiple games in a row the today alone and lots the last few months of no habs for over 20 mins and then we pushed back to the last point and one squad spending all game trying to recover a logi.
