Thanks! I was doing it all wrong! I was having issues with Z-offset and leveling, and I now realize that I have to move the BED, and not the nozzle! I also have an Ender 3 V3 SE, and with that, you have to move the nozzle. It also has auto-leveling. Sure, an Ender 3 V2 is older, but it still functions, just differently! Thanks a LOT!

My son saved up and got his very own and we put it together yesterday and tried to print but did not get the filament to stick to the plate. He had already seen your videos when he was researching the printers and kept talking about the glue stick. Today we tried the glue stick after cleaning the plate well with the alcohol and his first project is now successfully printing!

Thank You Troy, this was very informative, detailed and helpful video. There are a ton of printer settings and obviously you can't show them all but, is there a video or booklet where one could learn more about the Ender 3 Pro 3D printer settings; what they do in particular? I'm a home owner, well the wife is the owner I just take up space here, and I've got quite a long honey-do list. I'm working a set of hanging lights and I found one of the pieces I need to create it is not manufactured on its own so... I've printed 10 so far and each one has improved a bit but I can tell itsagonna take a long time to get it right; and at this rate I don't think I'll be around to see it.

The glass bed on mine seems to be warped and lower in the middle so it won't level over the whole surface. I found that the print head will hit those clips when put in the center. Also, the filament won't stick to the bed even if I put glue on it! Finally solved the problem by turning the glass bed over.

After buying an Ender 3 V2 like a year ago, half-building it after delivery, then throwing it in my closet...I finally finished putting it together a few hours ago! It took some troubleshooting to fix some crashing my sloppy assembly caused (had a motor plug inserted where the extruder plug should have been and vice versa) and finally, finally, I was ready! I was to print...a kitty cat. So I loaded up the file, more minor troubleshooting getting the filament to feed...then...it fed! But...but...the filament is just dragging itself all over the place. I've tried turning up the filament temp +30% or so - same with the plate temperature. I keep increasing it after its apparent it's not yet working. It's getting better, but I'm looking at what is supposed to be a cat and it's still a vaguely layered stack of spaghetti getting pulled to and fro. =( Is spraying hairspray or something else on the plate quite necessary? I don't have any in my house and its at night. The only non-cleaner I have in a spray can is Remington gun oil Dx. Despite this setback I'm super excited to try 3D printing, I've never done it before and it looks like a lot of fun.
@lucassism6726 Жыл бұрын
13:30 ok so when I do that, the temperature goes up to 180 and then it tells me the extruder temperature's too low, and I can't do anything about that screen so I have to turn it off and on again, during which it drops 30-50 degrees and I can't print anything. so what do i do then? edit: since i was using this for a single project, the memory is hazy but i did fix this, there's usually a switch that lets you change the voltage, and it should work better. if i remember correctly.
