It's always feel so good to declutter. For me it actually feels like making space in my mind, not just my home. I want to say something gently, and I honestly hope that you receive it with the sincerity with which it is intended. I watch you quite a bit and often I notice that you are donating so many brand new things. I hope that this process helps you in realizing exactly what you mentioned in the video when it comes to that 'scarcety mindset.' Which is to say, you may be buying far more than your family needs or has room for. Those funds will serve you so much better in other ways. Obviously you should never take anything to heart from a random on the internet, but I mention it out of a genuine desire for your happiness 💖

When I sit and watch your channel and see the numbers of items that you have of similar things it takes me back to when I was younger and a conversation that I had with my ex-husband. He would go into our storage closet and look at how many candles, bottles of different cleaners, rolls of paper towels and toilet paper, etc., that I had on our shelves. And he would ask me why it was necessary to have so much money tied up into these items that, while we would use them eventually, we did not need at the time. My response was always something along the lines of "they were on sale for a good price." And his response would always be that these same items will more than likely go on sale again by the time I would run out and need more. Years later, while I will say that I don't have as many items on my storage shelves as I once did, it is still something that I struggle with. When I realistically ask myself how long it takes me to use a bottle of dish soap or a container of dishwashing pods or a bottle of glass cleaner, etc., why is it honestly necessary to have 6 or 8 bottles / containers of each? It would honestly take me years to use all of them and in the meantime I have money invested into this stuff. And if in the interim I find a cleaner that I like better, then it ends up being stuff that I won't ever even use.

I definitely procrastinate! Sometimes it is so overwhelming!! Then after its done I realize that it wasn't as bad as I thought and I'm so glad I did it!! 😀💖

Never apologize for being real we all get backed up on laundry dishes everything, that just makes you a good mother taking care of your child the way that you do our children always come first and if anyone judges they don't need to be on your channel. Oh man we just got the shark rotator. The vacuum is amazing on hard wood and tile floors if you have cats and ones that fling the litter. Does amazing on carpet too. Good choice.

We don’t have cats, but we do have 2 dogs! I wanted to try out this vacuum because it has a self cleaning roller head, and I that would be great with all of the pet hair if it actually works lol

I really enjoy decluttering, however I too have purchased several items of the same because I’m afraid I won’t find them again. Growing up not having a lot I would shop just to shop and purchase things I never used (purses, shoes and PJ’s) my husband just shakes his head. I do give the clothes to a non profit shelter for women and children of abuse. Thanks for taking us in your journey today❤️❤️❤️❤️

That dresser for your daughters room would be so pretty in the same coral color you have in there on her bed and wall paper and use gold knobs. It’s a small enough piece that changing the color with her style down the road isn’t a huge job to tackle. And in the meantime it’ll bring a fun youthful vibe to the piece!

I would sand and distress the new Facebook find, chalk paint white, rubbing the sides for a chippy paint look. The fun will be choosing the pulls whether your daughter prefers a vintage look ( crystal clear knobs ) or a more modern look with brass or gold bar pulls. Excited to see the finished look🌸

The cupboard looks so much more organized now Megan. I have really been enjoying this series and can't wait to see what you have planned for future makeovers. Have you ever thought of putting one large or two small pictures or mirrors on the wall instead of the cup holders. Mirrors may open up the space and pictures could add more colour; especially since you have a wall cup holder over your coffee station.......just a thought. Always look forward to your videos....

When I try to declutter I fall into the trap of holding onto things for whatever reason. I am learning to declutter by Swedish Death cleaning as it put a clear mind set into prospective. I experienced through moving my parents and then losing my dad of how it can effect your loved ones you leave behind when you hold onto things and let them add up . Thanks for sharing your tips .

Yes! Rae Dunn is pottery and easily breakable. I think those storage boxes would be perfect! They also have some round ones that you could use for plates!
