So there is an update to overclocking software. You can now go up to 8k HZ. But I tested a PS5 controller on the 2k, 4k, and 8k settings and noticed that the polling rate software only senses that the controller can go up to 2k HZ. TLDR: I tested the updated OC software, 2k Hz is the highest the PS5 controller can handle to be OC'ed.

Switching over to PC and I have always used an xbox controller but this input delay is a massive advantage when it comes to competitive FPS gaming.

Finally got around to overclocking my ds4 and dualsense, man its crazy how fast it is now. Took some getting used to the first few games with how responsive it is lol. Thanks Kev, btw DS4 is more comfortable than DS 🤷‍♂at least for my 18x9cm hands lol

@@Omega_1306 It sounds like the overclock was too aggressive, the controller will act weird if its too high of an overclock. What controller is is? If its an xbox controller don’t go past 500Hz, some xbox controllers wont overclock at all like my Razer Wolverine Ultimate. If its a Playstation controller try plugging in your cable to a different usb port and restart the overclocking process and see if it responds normally. Hope this helps!

I know other top youtubers say the xbox remotes get no added benefit but it depends on the quality of the brand obviously. For instance I tested on a MSI MC30 v2 remote and wireless it makes no difference overclocking it keeps on 16ms average but if you use it in wired mode it goes from 4.4ms average to just 1.9ms average. So this is still a win in my books. Tried on a PDP controller which stock is 15ms average and it stayed the same and tried on a generic Ripper controller and only improved that from 5ms to 3ms which is still a win again. I know the Playstation remotes drop to as little as 1ms with this mod for some of them so it's sad that the best I've gotten a Xbox remote to is just under 2ms faster but slower then the PS controller

Hey Kevin, I got a question. I'm aware you can not overclock a controller for console. However, is it possible to overclock a USB converter (like a Brook adapter) on your PC, and then carry that over to a console and connect a controller to it? Or is that also not possible. Thanks!

DS4Windows has support for the Switch Pro (now?) Just connected it wired, not tested wireless though. Would love to see that separate video all about the Switch Pro on PC you said you would do here. If it's on your channel I can't find it! You can also overclock BT polling rate directly in DS4 Windows, under edit profile>Other. I did it with my DS4 and it seemed to work when testing. Not sure how it compares to the overclocking software you use though. I do prefer my DS4 is wired though for competitive games, more consistency. Mine using DS4Windows seems to run about 250 Hz wired, I suppose I could use that software to overclock it wired. I turn off BT on my PC and make sure DS4Windows shows the USB icon for the connection. I also use HidHide to avoid any shenanigans with programs or games seeing multiple controllers. I use Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows wireless mostly and both DS4 and XInput says my delay is around 0.7-1.1 for the most part but for some reason my new controller in particular still seems as if it has a ton of input lag when I play games like Warzone. Could this just be a factory flaw or just simply that the controller is new and I'm used to using a thumbstick that has wear and tear on it

ur on windows 10, you have a bonus step which you wont like probably, disabling secure boot. but the normies do that. you can just modify 1 registry file to make windows 10 think it was upgraded from w7 for example. who cares, but this means it will accept cross signed drivers which is what sweetandlow is. it was signed but years ago, and microsoft thinks its unsafe although. this can also be done with the special secret microsoft command which was revealed when w10 came out. its WHQL to enable that, it is effectivly the same as the upgraded windows trick. because its just a registry entry. much safer than disabling secure boot. you could also use a differnt OS. this is also why you and many others but not everyone has this issue. if your Binterval is 6 its gottta be like 185hz or so right? u can do better. get 1-2 b interval for slippi!

The jitter on Xbox controller when overclocked grow up a lot, but what jitter to? If I oc my elite2 I go from 0,07 jitter to 1,4 and input delay from 6,9-1200ms range(avg7,8) to 3,5-1799ms range ( 7,9 avg) so it become worst when i try the overclock, is it possible?

Excellent video. I do have a question though. I was able to successfully overclock my DualSense when connected via USB C cable. However it doesn’t show up in hidusbf while connected via bluetooth. Only my Bluetooth adapter, mouse and keyboard shows up under “all”. Is there some trick to making the DualSense show up as a discrete device that can be overclocked via Bluetooth?

It is necessary if you are using Bluetooth.. if the connection is wired then you should just be able to use the overclocking software. I have a ps5 SCUF and I use ds4 and the overclocking software simultaneously

Only on pc, which is where it makes the biggest difference because you’re gonna get more input delay on PC then on the console(without over clocking)

Dont waste your time, he waited until halfway through the video to inform us microsoft has polling rates lock. you cannot get any benefits from OC you Xbone controller. Buy a PS controller and youd be better off. Trust me its painful to even say that, but the input lag on the elite and xbox in general are ridiculous in comparison. Fuck microsoft.

If i take a controller and put like divots on the slider that measures the voltage with a blade would that like some what change the input to more of a digital 1 if yoh know what i mean

So I ended up accidentally accepting that error message and now my controller doesn’t show up and it got rid of Bluetooth completely on my pc. How do I get it back? It comes back when I take my pc out of secure boot mode but I don’t want to leave it out of that

Why is it with my Xbox Elite Controller, when i first OC it and unplug and plug back in my controller i'll have like a Min 7 ms - Max 12 ms PR 120. Then I run it a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time it goes back to a Min 7 ms - Max 2000 ms PR 90?
