I don't know if you'll see this, but I tried your supports . They're working great !! I'm truly impressed, they hold well, come back out well and are only a slight pain to carry and install.. Good job Amigo and thank you for your efforts.

These work amazing.. I did them a little bit different. instead of putting the snare in the loop add a D ring through the loop attach your snare to it with a swivel.. one you catch a yote and snare is all messed up take it off the d ring and put a new one on!!! re bend wire and ready to go

Wouldn’t you want your anchor wire to come up the your gap in the wire you created with the socket so that when you went through there with your snare you would also be attached to the anchor wire? Seems that if you used cable restraints and the yotes had time to work them over against a frozen ground they would surely break at some point. We have to use cable restraints here in WI
@DustinDrews12 жыл бұрын
I have never had them break or heard of one breaking. The snare cable is by far the weakest link. Don’t use what your not comfortable with! God Bless, Dustin

Mr. Drews, What if you are using the wolf fang (Larger model) earth anchor? I work in sandy to semi sandy and need the larger earth anchor to hold the snare in the ground. Do you have any tips for using them on this newer model?
@DustinDrews15 жыл бұрын
Same way as you would with the older model or any type of anchor for that matter. Maybe make them longer so you can drive them deeper into softer soil. Hope that was the answer you were looking for?

What is the average length of the wire after being cut? Trapping supply companies send smaller rolls.
@DustinDrews16 жыл бұрын
Go to your local farm supply store. You can get the wire in the big rolls like I show in the video. It will be in there fencing section. It is used to make H braces in fences... Normally it is 10.00 to 15 bucks a roll and it will make 25 or so supports. God Bless, Dustin

Awesome. Was looking for exactly this for an idea. I'm trying to picture how to pull these out of the ground if you're not using removable stakes with a pull wire. ... Like say you drive them in with a pogo anchor, how are you getting them back out?

Very smart and efficient looking system. Here in Iowa we have to use deer stops, so killsprings are pretty much useless. Do you use inline swivels on your snares? Thanks for the great video.
@DustinDrews16 жыл бұрын
Jay Block I always use inline swivels. They are the most important part of s snare I’m my humble opinion. I feel The barreled swivels are the best as close to the lock as possible. I understand the deer stop issues with the kill spring renders them useless. Thanks for the kind words!

When pulling the anchor out with the loop in the wire does it pull out good or would it be better to leave it outside the wire
@DustinDrews15 жыл бұрын
Jerad Lene you pull on the cable not the wire.

Ellen Wong I would stick to 9 gauge. 11 may work but I would prefer some insurance
