I bought this when it dropped which was 3 months ago. And it's absolutely amazing. It gets very loud. And the bass is amazing. Definitely worth every penny u spend.

My problem with the UI Booms I’ve owned, when the battery starts to go, there is no way to get it changed. The only option is to throw it in the garbage. Has this changed with the UE Boom 4’s?

I have changed the battery in my original Boom and Megaboom no problem. There are plenty of videos showing how to do it and the batteries are readily available on Amazon.

Does Megaboom 4 have wireless charging like the Megaboom 3? Does it charge at 12V using the cable and power adapter? Will it only work in stereo mode with another Megaboom 4?

Does it still have the bug that megaboom 1 & 3 had? Where you have to reset it between pairing which each new device? Latest firmware never solved that on my megaboom 1 & megaboom 3.

I just bought one of these today and the backing above the charging port started to peel off. Looks like I’ll have to return it.

It’s so sad you discontinued the charging port from the bottom, I purchased the charging base but I lost the speaker but now it doesn’t make sense to do the upgrade.

What's the difference compared to the Megaboom 3 other than the USB C?

Apparently the sound on the Megaboom 4 is much more tinny and lacking definition, the bass is less well defined even though this speaker has better bass response than the Megaboom 3 on paper. I bought an Epicboom last year as an upgrade from the Megaboom 3, and it was also lacking presence at all volume levels up to 75dB when it sounded about as good as the Megaboom 3, with a deeper bass response. I sold it on and kept the Megaboom 3.
