Hoppin' John is a traditional southern dish. In the South Carolina lowcountry (i.e. Charleston) it's typically made with black eyed peas, ham hock, onion, and rice. Traditionally served on New Year's Day for good luck along with collards to bring money. Add a side of cornbread and you'll be all set to welcome in the new year.

This may be one of the best overall positive food reviews of any of the WDW festivals. Maybe they’re starting to up their game like they do at DL. Although, the food prices there are noticeably lower than at the California festivals-other than the Chinese/Mexican selections. By the way, Lomi Lomi salmon contains tomatoes, and poutine always includes cheese cards. Great vlog as always.

Sorry to butt in. Baklava is made with phyllo and is very crispy. Rugelach is made with a cream cheese dough and is very tender. Both are great, but very different. Either way, enjoy!!

Wow, the Tamale, the $10 gingerbread triangle, the pricey - skinny empanada - Disney, come on now! Disney already has a rep for me personally of having sub-par food. For what they charge for these tiny plates, they could spare to give a little more meat and higher quality ingredients. I notice they mostly just give "flavored-filler" using rice, bread, corn, etc. and sauce - - then add micrograms of meat or veg. Very disappointing. Thank you for a great video.

Im from hawaii so ill only speak on the lomi lomi. It is normal for it to be room temp when its high quality, but you are right that did look meh at best just by color. But just wanted to say most fish here is cold but lomi lomi will be room since usually a side for plate lunch which stay warm.

After going to FARTS this year we will never be back specifically for festival food. It was all such a rip off and generally disappointing. Was like a teaspoon of raquleqte cheese on the pork belly and was a fatty mess. Would love to go for the cookies sometime they look good (except a $10 chunk of gingerbread wow! Not even fully decorated). Thanks for the video I really enjoy the unbiased reviews!! Keep it up.

These prices seem more absurd than ever. Extreme sticker shock up in here. It seems like the most ridiculous prices are $1.50-$2.00 more than the most ridiculous prices of the previous festival. 🫤
