One thing about 126 is that the food ain't really cheap there. It's alright but is it really worth the premium? But defo must recommend the L32 ban mian. Soup or dried both are awesome. Tip, order some Wu Xiang as an accompaniment / side to your noodles!

The only thing I like at 126 is the pork n yam wrap in beancurd skin and the fried fish skin thingy but even that has drop in standard. I think u can do a comparison with sweechoon. And the frog porridge place, I kind of pretty impress with their regular dishes also. But guys, if you reading this. All these places at Geylang are what most people know. Abit boring also, can reveal more ? Try the famous claypot rice, won’t say where . lol , go find , and jb ah meng. One of my fav there. Cheers !!

si may taste best with sweet vinegar sauce or the sweet sauce for dipping fried prawns balls, soya sauce could work, but yum cha place they have chilli sauce availiable most likely you end up using it

Lor 4 or 6 Thai Food also can try. For the beef horfun the dry version now better than their wet version. Geylang i forget which Lorong already. Theres a place called Penang Seafood their Assam Laksa is easily one of the best you can find in SG

The standard of 126 dimsum has dropped tremendously… Annette is right; now their fried stuffs are better than their steamed dimsum, which is a damn pity. The only thing that y’all missed out was the homemade fried tofu with mango salad dressing. But overall, I’ll give it a miss nowadays cos the standard has just gone to the pits…

Geylang mostly a place for people who cannot sleep and during football season when there's free screening the coffeeshops will all be packed. The food scene there have seen much better times I think. Eminent frog is not bad lah but I won't wait 2 hours for any food! There's a frog stall that I used to go pre-covid next to where you had that beef horfun, priced slightly more but just as good but I dunno whether they are still around. The beef horfun used to be nice with wok hey flavor a very very long time ago, I think they became too popular so at 1 point they start to cut corners, I've have seen them start to prepare the horfun noodle way before hand so whenever anybody orders they just ladle in the hot beef with gravy that's why if you notice the dish comes very fast within 10 minutes it's on your table already vs usual 20-30 minutes because to get wok hey takes effort and when you become famous there's going to be way too many orders to fulfill so they will start to think how to keep up with orders, shortcut here shortcut there.

1. When the beef becomes too tender means they added meat tenderiser. Lorong 9 Beef Kway Teow is not too bad lar as they have other nicer dishes. 2. 126 Dim Sum cannot make it lar - if a dim sum restaurant cannot make good Ha Kau and Siew Mai, please don't go. And it's Geylang......the price inflated like there is no tomorrow. I am sorry to say this but most place in Singapore dim sum cmi. Unless you willing to pay super atas dim sum pricing in those fancy restaurants, i think most normal dim sums restaurant are no match with HK or Malaysia dim sums. 3. Eminent Frog Porridge cannot go wrong lar. They are KING of Frog Porridge in Singapore. (HOW CAN BOTH OF YOU NEVER EAT THIS BEFORE????!) 4. L32 Handmade Noodles - definitely highly recommended as they have manage to perfected it! Anyway, Annette is ever so so lovable! Love her sooooooo much! She is definitely the Queen of Comedy! And I am surprise at 3am, people still eat durian!!! I think your next outing should still be in Geylang for Zhi Char Restaurant called JB Ah Meng Restaurant for their beehoon, lala and white pepper crab.

Eh, Neptune stall at Marine Parade hawker centre sells very decent HK dim sum. Too bad no ‘keep zhup” the sweet vinegar. Otherwise the dim sum there though limited in selections compared to HK restaurants or “yum cha” places are very authentic. I worked in HK for about 6 years and eat at 茶楼for lunch on weekdays and even weekends, find Neptune one of the best dim sum stalls in S’pore.

For those wondering why nobody recommends Durian in Geylang, it's because Geylang is filled with Durian stalls that are overpriced or dishonest. Among durian lovers, Butter King is definitely a much lower grade than Mao Shan Wang and is priced between $12-$15/kg. On the other hand, Mao Shan Wang is usually priced higher at above $20/kg. The video shows that the stall owner has even given Zermatt and Annette a Durian that has patches of unripeness (this makes me so upset, that durian is also overpriced at $46). Avoid Geylang for Durian and visit other areas like the west or north for better Durian stalls!
