Awesome vid good info. Which one of the camp sites is good for star photography without long hiking?
@Outdoorsocal4 жыл бұрын
Blair Valley is a great place to camp and take star photos. The primitive campground has a vault toilet and is pretty close to the paved road. More here: www.outdoorsocal.com/posts/guide-to-blair-valley-in-anza-borrego/

I'm planning on visiting here in spring 2023 do you need a pass for the Vistor Center, the metal Sculptures, or to hike the Palm Canyon trail? If so where do you get them from?
@Outdoorsocal2 жыл бұрын
Hi. No passes needed for the sculptures or Palm Canyon trail. I want to say the visitor's center is free...but can't remember for sure off-hand.

Great, informative video! Thank you for sharing! I plan on going stargazing soon, but won't be able to drive out there until night time. Do you think the trails are hard to find in the dark?
@Outdoorsocal3 жыл бұрын
Glad it's helpful. It can definitely be hard to find trailheads in the dark in the desert. Things aren't marked well and it's hard to to find any landmarks. We'd recommend sticking close to paved roads at night, unless you know your way around.

Where is the best location to park for stargazing? I just want to go out and look at the stars and drive back. I'm not familiar with Borrego Springs so any insight is appreciated. I plan on arriving around midnight and leaving around 4am. Are any gas stations open at this time frame?? I will be taking a Ford F 150

Blair Valley is a good spot. Pretty much anywhere that isn't near Borrego Springs or Ocotillo Wells, where there are lights. Fonts Point is a great spot too.

How do I find out which trails don’t require lifted Jeep?
@Outdoorsocal4 жыл бұрын
Blair Valley is fun and doesn't require a lifted Jeep. You can travel on many of the trails in Ocotillo Wells SRVA with a stock Jeep or all-wheel-drive SUV. The state park services put out this map, which is helpful: ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=23478
