Hello,Just want to tell you l make drapes all kinds and l agree 100% in what you say just one thing if you have pattern fabric they MUST be perfectly joined because if the pattern does not match it will like cheap and nasty you may lose a bit of material but it will look FANTASTIC 😻 just come across your channel love it 😍

Just came across you last night and I can't stop watching your videos! Everything you say makes perfect sense, I feel like we speak the same language 😃It was too funny to hear you say you had a mini-stroke when you found out your videographer had his curtains 5 inches off the floor haha I thought I was the only one who always has mini-strokes every time I see THAT or other decors! I definitely subscribed to your channel and I am so excited to get all these upscale and classy ideas from you for my new custom build! Unfortunately, I am one who has champagne taste on a beer budget, however, I am going to make it happen! Thank you for all your advice. Veronikah 😉

Nina, I have a question: I have an 8' ceiling which has a soffit and triple slider under it which makes the area to hang curtains only 7'. Do you suggest hanging the curtains outside of the soffit and utilizing 8' to hang curtains? The soffit is approximately 20" deep. I would lose 20" of floor space to do that. What are your thoughts? Thank you! 😘

Hi Nina love this video re curtains. May I ask how to dress a deep set window.
@NinaTakesh3 жыл бұрын
Hello Elizabeth! Thank you. So glad it was helpful. A deep set window is hard. I would go with something simple and minimal. Perhaps a Roman shade if you have room to mount. Thank you for watching!

We just built a new home and windows treatments were not a consideration. We have very large (floor to ceiling) statement windows that are dry wall returned and painted dark to mimic steel windows. They are beautiful so I don't want to cover them up. The house is more modern/transitional. I have considered curtains so they can be outside of the window and only closed when we need privacy (I wish I would have known your trick you said in the beginning!) but I don't want the room to get too busy will lots of drapes. Is there a way to mount some type of blind above the window, outside mount that looks minimal on the dry wall but then drops down for privacy?? Love watching your videos!
@NinaTakesh3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thank you for watching! Yes there are some great blinds that are ultra modern and even function via remote control and basically roll down. I would definitely recommend them! Try the Shadestore.com

Curtains are lovely but they are dust gatherers. Nina how often should one vacuum curtains and have them professionally cleaned? Also are there fabrics for curtains that one should absolutely avoid?
@NinaTakesh3 жыл бұрын
Hello! You should vacuum them once a month thoroughly. Don’t clean them that often as it wears the fabric. I would say every 2 to 3 years depending on traffic and dirt. Avoid thin material so that I can easily ruined with the sun’s rays. Thank you for watching Tosin!

Where could one find the curved edge brass rail from. It does steal millimetres from the room, but gorgeous. Is it meant to block light at the edges?
