I would recommend changing the hunt duration to medium or event frequency to medium (cant do both) for apoc 3 instead of the activity monitor. The 10 seconds it hunts less cam save your life... or the increased event frequemcy can help getting a ghost photo, granted you need to get somewhat close to the ghost.

2:54 Theres actually more you can do: -Hunt duration can be changed from High to Medium -Event Frequency can be changed from Low to Medium -Ghost changing favorite room can be changed from High to Medium -Activity Level can be changed from Low to Medium -Sanity and Activity Monitor can be enabled (both are worth x0.05 each) -Kills extend hunts can be disabled as it does not affect this challenge since it is single player -Sanity Pill Resoration can be changed from 0% to 5% -Doors starting open can be changed from High to Medium

Instead of turning on the activity monitor, you could increase event frequency to help with ghost events

Got mine done easily. Objectives: -Photo -Cleanse -Event Went inside with photo cam, incense, crucifix. Immediately evented on. Wafted incense. Took photo and ghost disappeared. Headed outside, checked photo, ghost not in it but marked as ghost photo.Selected Phantom. Left.

Congratulations on you’r victory! I love getting the photo objective its such a relief honestly. Cleanse the area is also another good one but event can be so fickle and annoying. Overalls though nice job enjoy that trophy!

The hall way your showing is exactly where my Gold skull ghost was. It was a Rav. I Placed a emf / Cross and motion sensor in the hall way And hid behind the door in Male room 1 with a cross next to me using the parabolic microphone to keep track where the ghost was. Only popping out near the end of hunts to try for the photo when it did a event in the room so I snapped the photo then smudged. giving me the whole 90 seconds to get out. My secondary was emf / motion sensor and photo. Rev has to be the best i know of since if it cannot see you it's way to slow to get very far during the hunt. Just don't let it see you or it's over that thing is beyond fast.

Also, I must add, for anyone attempting… Apparently if you get the ghost to walk through the chapel you’ll get the firelight objective! I learned that on one of my attempts. Still haven’t gotten it though 😭😭😭

You got this just be patient thats my biggest advice, take things slow and really analyze everything the ghost does, the devil is in the details so cross exam every little thing the ghost does! A lot of this pulls from the ghost guide too so you can use that as well.

For the EMF secondary, run EMF T2, not T3. The way it tweaks out during a hunt counts towards that objective since it does momentarily hit a different EMF to 1. T3 doesn’t do this, making the objective substantially harder

@ i figured it out doing the camp woodwind bench loop, since you can just drop it at the door and as long as you get it to you, it starts going off.

I got really lucky with mine, I had emf but the ghost wandered pretty far and interacted with the door I was next to which was far from the ghost room. Then escape during a hunt and take a photo. On top of that I also got deogen which you can outrun no problem it's just stressful

You can get emf during a hunt, close the doors a little so the ghost touches them during a hunt

Thats a good idea! I just used the firelight and hoped it blew it out during a hunt, plus it allowed me to see since NVG just give everyone an epileptic seizure now.

If you’re really struggling with this challenge all you really have to do is keep resetting until you get a deo, even with bad side objectives the deo should make this relatively easy.

I was fortunate enough to get a Deogen which made it very easy to get the challenge done. Was close to completing it with rev but I messed up with the photo.

When i first attempted the apoc challenge it was before the lighter was an extra piece of equipment. Which meant you could only bring 1 smudge 1 camera and 1 lighter. Got a rev down a long hallway and i got everything i needed and the photo but it wandered into my makeshift hidey hole and got me… if i had 2 smudges i would have been able to survive… funny we both had the same ghost and died the same way 🤣

I guess I can't say this with 100% certainty, but pretty dang close: I don't think the game will ever give you a "get below 25% sanity" objective if you start at 0. That's coming from my having done gold apoc after about a dozen attempts and many many more rerolls on top of all the no evidence, no sanity runs I continue to do. I'm just saying that in all that time, I've NEVER gotten that objective, so I'd recommend against trying to re-roll into it for an easy objective because it.....might never show up.

That is certainly an option although its a 1/24 so you could be rolling that dice for a while. Theres a lot of ghosts with the potential to give themselves away very quickly, so id recommend not necessarily throwing in the towel immediately if its not a deogen. But you can certainly try and re roll for a particularly fast or slow ghost. Just remember thats a double edge sword. Easy to identify, hard to photograph 🤣 best of luck to ya!

Lol i don’t personally think its boring i actually really like doing these types of challenges as it forces you to know all the ghost abilities and hidden mechanics which usually end up being a pretty humbling experience… with that being said i wish we had normal speed because that is definitely the worst part! It takes way to long to navigate

I definitely feel like it would make things more difficult as it would prevent people from just re rolling the ghost until they get a easy and obvious ghost like a deogen but could you imagien both a thaye or moroi near you and a Deogen? You wouldn’t be able to hide and wait because of the deo but you wouldn’t have to remain undetected by the other ghost really forcing you to think and plan each and every move. I dont know if i would change the challenges to incorporate something like but definitely maybe add another trophy just to really flaunt your success/skills!

Completed this challenge before my 100th contract. My strategy relied on RNG mostly. Basically I wouldn't ever leave the entryway, and before I went in I'd throw in both crucifixes, a firelight, salt, an emf, and all my smudge sticks. As well as a camera of course. Right before I went in I'd turn on my firelight and walk in trying to move 1 of the crucis up into the check in area as well as I could before a hunt. Then I put salt covering the doorway and moved the candle next to it as well as turned on my emf. Then it was just waiting and hoping it was a deo or a stalking ghost. I ended up winning with a Phantom as my ghost, and I think my objectives were smudge the ghost while it's chasing someone, prevent a hunt with a crucifix, and blow out a fire light. It took a lot of resets, but I eventually got it. Even before my 100th contract.
