THAT'S STUPID! Cuz we held that zone for FULL MINUTE and our timer was at 80. EIGHTY!!! they take control for 30 seconds I flippin counted and their timer is at 40 THAT'S WAY TO BIG A PENALTY

Simple and solid explanation. I find a lot of Splatoon 3 videos are just clip compilations from Twitch. While they entertaining, the nuances of what the streamer is thinking are lost on me and not explained.

I recently just did a series in A rank for splat zones with mini Splatling and I 5-0 and it’s a very good weapon to cover the zone and splat enemies finally it has the hammer special and it can cover the zone when you use it I would recommend farming for it then use it to get the zone just my experience

The part where you explain how it’s basically an advanced game of Turf War where the goal is to completely force the other team to retreat from the middle and back to homebase was really eye opening for me. I always find myself desperately defending the zone whenever my team claims it and I realize now why that’s not getting me positive results. I’m basically just letting the other team know I’m a sitting duck and absolutely terrified they’ll reclaim the zone (which I usually am).

They often dont really listen to "this way" or save up specials, are there tips for this? Or do i just need to be lucky with the randoms i get. 1:23 a small correction, only if the enemy takes control over the zone, you get penalty points. If you lose control but quickly paint the zone back you can survive with no penalty.

Yep, this is correct. I meant if you lose control to the enemy, not when it goes neutral, because that's when you get the penalty. Language is weird, and so is 'control' as a concept (I say 'lose control' in a different context immediately after...) Thank you! ^^

Don't think I agree with what you said about booyah and tri-strike. For me I feel tri-strike is the initiation special since it can separate the entire enemy team and get your team in while booyah is the continuation special where you get a pick then get armor and try to pick off another player while refilling your ink.

This is definitely valid! I've even got some clips of me using strikes to initiate in the video, and Booyah Bomb can absolutely be used to keep up the momentum, especially since it lasts a while. I do however think tri-strikes are less effective for initiation at super high skill levels because their duration is so short and the game is way faster-paced. Enemies are usually positioned in such a way (and move so fast) that they can recover from them quickly, so you get less bang for your buck unless you're just as fast at following up. And for that same reason, Booyah is too slow to startup to really use in the middle of a push, so I typically see it used to start them. But specials in this game are super versatile! It's entirely situational at the end of the day. Thank you for commenting!! ^^

@@coachcookie_ I can see that and maybe my opinion is influenced a lot as a carbon one trick but I figured the chaos that tri strikes can cause with the additional paint for slayers to go in with a lot of cover, while booyah pertains more to selfish circumstances. I’d say strikes overall is a pretty mediocre special but it is one of the best options at getting a team in during neutral
