**READ ME** There is now a new and less complicated way to find your information to upload to the website, so you don't have to DM those Discord bots. What do I do?" -This seems to be a glitch with the website. Many have said that reuploading your data to the website fixes the issue, so try that. "If I've used my gear in a battle before but didn't roll any slots, does it still count as brand new?" -No, it does not. As soon as you play with it, it is no longer considered brand new. "How do I find the bot to DM on Discord?" -There are links under "User Settings" on the website, but I also put the link in the description and below in this comment. "Does gear you trade with Murch when ordering from people count as new?" -Only if the former gear you're trading in hasn't been used. This does not change the seed. "Is there a way to check if I've used a piece of gear before?" -The only way I'd really know of is to tell the website that your gear is brand new, then roll one slot. See if what you rolled lines up with what the website says you'll roll. If not, you've probably used the gear before. "Can I reroll my slots to help find the seed quicker?" -Yes, you can, but I don't recommend it since it's kind of a waste of snails. Rerolling a piece of gear will just give you the next 3 slots on the list, from left to right. ______________________________ *4:14 Rather than hitting "Search Seed" every time, you can instead hit "Refine Seed." This way, it only searches through the seeds it's already found, which is much faster. *9:14 Instead of having to get another file from the bot, you can just add new gear by hitting the + button. Remember, you can do this with any abilities. It doesn't have to be three in a row like I did. If you have any questions please ask. thats me rn. there was no visually appealing clothing option that housed swim speed as a main ability so I had to burn 45 chunks to make the tinted shades swim speed. Still looking for good shirts and shoes tho

this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely despise the gear systems in these games, constantly having to grind out for ability chunks, and spending tons of time to simply put together the right build for each weapon I play. In all of my time playing I feel like I've been more focused on how the damn system works, that I've barely took time to think about what abilities would be good for my build. Thanks for the the useful guide, I'm definitely going to make good use of this information

Lol with the easier ability plug and use system, the game would have been dead in 2/3 months. Everyone would have all their gear setup to their perfect suit for all the weapon they use. Then what's the point of playing after that? Part of the game is fun is having grinding. Getting all the gears with ability that you want easily is fun at first but it ruin the game in long term.

Pretty much mandatory subs (one of each): Bomb Defense Up,Ink Resistance Up, Quick Super Jump, Special Saver. Due to diminishing returns, one sub of each is absurdely good and makes a lot of difference. For quick super jump, you shave off the jump frames from 80 frames to 56 frames. One sub of special saver makes you lose only 41% of your special instead of 50%, and As long as you have at least the first 2 on your kit, you're good. This keeps you from dying from combos or from chip damage from ink 95% of the time due to the damage reduction from ink and indirects. Super good for not dying to 2 shots after a splat bomb indirect or one shotted by being trapped in ink storm on frame 1.

does ink resistance give you any defense from damage? I think all it does is help you move through enemy ink easier

@@animal1nstinct394 @@animal1nstinct394 it makes it so you only start getting hurt by the ink on frame 30 instead of frame 1. This pretty much makes it so you can swim through little patches of enemy ink while swimming on your own ink without too much trouble. For ninja squid, you can shark at absurd levels for being able to swim through drops of your ink pretty much if there is at least a little trail. Its really good and makes a hell of a difference in frontline weapons for sure. More than one sub isn't that good though, its more worth to try to build around having one each of those 4 and fill the rest with other good but not as essencial single subs like inntensify action (pretty much makes it so the Jr has the same rng jumping and on the ground, reduces jumping spread of the splattershot by almost 30% for example) ink rec up (one sub brings your full ink rec time from 7 to 6.4 seconds). You can just look up sendou dot ink to use the calculators and see how much of a difference one sub makes by yourself and browse good builds for each weapon by top players

Great vid! TLDR; 1. Each piece of gear has a seed, a hidden variable that tells what abilities it will roll. If you know the seed and put the seed into a website, the website will tell you how to get perfect gear. Follow instructions in video to find the seed. 2. If you’ve played a game with the gear, finding the seed is harder, and you have to do what it says in the video 3. With the seed, the website will tell you what to do to get the chunks you want using the steps in the video 4. If you’ve never played with the gear, the seed is found easily with steps in the video

Thank you for this. i haven't been playing the game as much because its almost been impossible to level up my gear and get what i want even with the tickets. The ticket effect used to be so much stronger in the beginning of 2 and now its way worse and often times it'll only give one slot of the perk ur using the ticket for then give two random ones. Really glad theres a method out there that counteracts the bullshit. Great video!

You can save the data of your seed by inputing the data in the "Gear Database" so you don't have to screenshot your progress every session.

just found out about this recently. I had knowledge that it existed but not about the search target feature and the import database (iow I considered it was too much of a pain to go through.) But if you import data it is well worth spending a few hours plotting out your gear to your liking... will save you months (if not years) of effort. One thing I noticed that can help is that if you have a piece of gear with 2-3 filled you can go to seed checker and manually see if the abilities in the gear match the sequence in your own gear. If it does you can save that seed and go off of that

this is super super noteworthy if you don't have the coins or don't wanna spend too much: if you activate a 2x coin ticket, the amount of wins it takes to get the 2nd slot in anarchy is also roughly the amount that it will take to get 20k coins, about 5 wins. you unlock the first slot after one anarchy win. once again this was just in anarchy open, idk the rates for turf war or X

Found this video a couple of days ago, and have made 4 pure pieces so far, thank you! Although I was using the long method, from gear I have used before. I did try the Faster method, with a piece i have never used. It seemed like it was working, but for some reason the third slot ended up being something else. I'm not sure what I did wrong. The only thing I could think of, is maybe my drink ticket expired, I probably wasn't paying attention. Besides that, the longer method hasn't had any issues. Thanks for the video!

Hey, I have a question; what does it mean if there's a "+# Advances" in the pathway instructions? For example, one of my paths dictate that I need to: "Unlock a slot with RSU drink active to unlock IRU (Resulting seed: _____, +2 Advances)." Does the "+2 Advances" mean that I need to advance this particular seed twice (i.e. roll two slots with RSU drink active) or should I just ignore it?

@@Pippito Use this guide only if you want that clean look on the gear. If you want 3 same subs of one skill, that could be replaced with a main, or simply having one sub to each piece of gear. If you want more than 3 subs (i.e. Run speed builds), then go for it.

@@insert_afm it’s also good for swapping out gear between builds. For example I have a piece of gear that has ninja squid and 3 subs of swim speed up. It’s really useful because I can swap out the headgear for different things and still have my ninja squid + swim speed. If I had my abilities spread out among all 3 gears, it would be a lot more difficult to change the headgear while maintaining the abilities I want. Ninja squid + 3 subs swim speed is really useful on a lot of builds. Same with my pure QR gear. I have a couple weapons that use it and it’s nice to be able to swap out the headgear and keep the pure QR.

@@Pippito Adding multiple of the same ability to a piece of gear costs more chunks than normal, so unless you need more than 3 of a certain sub ability total, there is virtually no reason to ever put more than one of the same sub ability on a piece of gear.

i tried this awhile ago with a shirt and I was trying to get full ink recovery. I found the seed (had to roll like 9 slots) and followed it exactly, even used 10 chunks. And it gave me special power up on the next slot. I have no idea what I did wrong. Are you not supposed to scrub the gear after you roll all the slots? Because I scrubbed it.

I've tried this 3 separate times and every single time after finding my seed when I go start to get the actual chunks I want on my gear it never works. :/ I've followed the instructions to the letter and it has never worked for me. The only thing that worked was the shell out machine seed and its been accurate for that.

First off - THANK YOU! This is super helpful. Perhaps this is a noob question, but I have gear that is new, and I have gear that I've filled slots for, then scrubbed all the slots. However, for some of the gear that have clean slots, I cannot remember if it is new, UNUSED gear, or if I used the gear, and then scrubbed the slots clean months ago. Is there any way to find out if the "clean" gear I have is unused or not?

No, but for the "following the path" step, you may need to activate some drink tickets, which in that case, you will have to replace the level or cash snack. You can't have both active simultaneously, the game won't let you
