Pan your garage is amazing! It is really cool to know that when you had the house built you were thinking ahead and asked for the things that would assist you in car detailing. You have inspired me in having my detailing products labeled and grouped into interior, exterior, polishing, brushes and microfiber towels for the different purposes. Thanks so much Pan! Of course it is not as impressive as yours but it's a start. You have lit the flame for me in detailing again. Keep up the amazing work.

This is amazing. Not only you have 10K plus worth of car care products, and a dedicated garage with planned built setup and a very expensive fitration system. On top of that this is so carefully placed and organized. If I were nearly where you are, I will pay you a visit and get my car to be prep by you.

Thanks Martin! I really appreciate those kind words and great feedback! I worked really hard in my life to get to the point where I am now, and I love carefully planning everything, so it was only natural for me when I was having my new house built in 2012 to plan the ultimate garage for my to do my passion: detailing. Everything was intended for car detailing as you can see. I was looking at how to prep my car in youtube and I was also looking at coating. That is how I discover your channel. I am in Hong Kong and the problem about car detailing I got is to get water. Most people in HK live in Apartments and without a source of water where they part their cars. Able to prep a car with a jet of water is a dream in HK.

Have you tried a rinseless wash with Optimum ONR? You fill a bucket with water, go to your car, wash it with a sponge and the diluted ONR and that's it! A good alternative if you don't have easy access to water.
@adamg78507 жыл бұрын
Unless you live in a humid climate with salt in the air, where you car MUST be hosed down with clean water to get the salt off each nook and cranny that ONR would not get.

Wow. I found you by accident. I am a full-time professional Detailer located in Goodyear, AZ (EMD - Estrella Mountain Detailing), with an almost identical shop set-up in my garage, not unlike yours, other than a 2-car garage. I just had coincidentally a 25,000 btu AC/Heat Pump (same brand as you) installed so I can continue to work during the summer unencumbered by the hot desert sun during the summer months. Where are you located? We use the same detailing processes as well, having watched your ceramic coating video, and I am impressed. Thank you for what you do!
@PanTheOrganizer7 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert! Thanks for the awesome feedback, much appreciated! I try to do my best to share my passions with my viewers, one of my biggest passions in life being car detailing. I'm located in Montreal, Canada. You guys in Arizona must get crazy heat waves! As you probably know, we in Canada get the extreme temperatures... 30-35 Celsius peaks in the summer and -30 Celsius in the winter, sometimes less! That's an insane range, so my heat pump does keep me either cool or warm as I wish, a must for a detailer. How did you discover my channel by accident? What were you searching KZbin for?
@rhysdavies89476 жыл бұрын
2 things I noticed which I would action: I had a Karcher K2 which broke because the water that remained inside, froze and expanded, and because I left the lance pipe connected (like yours) then the ice split the internal compressor unit. Now I make sure I disconnect mine every time. Although fluorescent lighting is great, you’re ceiling is quite high. I would have installed either ones with downward reflectors that concentrate the light downwards, so much lumens is wasted lighting the surrounding ceiling or replace with them cheaper square LED panels that seem to control colour temperature easier, and no flicker when tubes start going. Plus getting switchable lighting along the walls so you get clearer reflection on doors and underbody areas to see your improvement in paint correction. But it’s a great video and a great channel.

Thanks Rhys! Since this video, I upgraded to LED lighting. I made a video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5LPqHqNbd-Kb9U

Hi Pan! I don't know if this is a Midwest US thing, or not, but our home, built in 2007, was plumbed so that the garage faucet line bypassed the water conditioner. Finally, today, I had that fixed so that my car washing faucet is now serviced by softened water. The difference is amazing and it's much easier to avoid water spots. Thank you for inspiring so many of us to be the best we can be.

Yes Michael, and there are all the added benefits for the house. My girlfriend and I noticed the difference in the softness of the clothes after they're washed, how soft our skin is now, our hair comes out better looking and feelings, etc. I like the zero maintenance aspect of such systems. Just add salt every now and then, and you're good to go.

Yes, I have spent a lot of money on all the detailing crap over the years, but water softener is definitely one of the top 3 purchases ever. Car ends up looking like just waxed after washing with zero drying effort. With hard water that is impossible without using the detailer after washing and drying.

Just from experience working in Flood mitigation, those water systems are prime suspects in flooding homes and especially with all those plastic hose and fittings. A lot of pressure coming from supply lines for those fittings. Put in great place regardless, basement. I like the setup

I always apply the paint sealant before the wax. Paint sealants have the longest durability (compared to waxes) and should be laid as the foundation layer. Then, for added gloss and a warm glow, a nice wax on top. Watch my video where I present my favourite sealant/wax combo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKWsfaKKgLiLp5o

How often do you use your dehumdifier ? I live in Texas and wash my car in the garage but have noticed / smelled mildew in my garage - I leave the garage open for several hours and additionally use a squeegee and leaf blower to dry the garage floor the best I can any recommendations you can provide ?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
My dehumidifier is always on. It maintains the humidity at 40-45%. Of course, while I'm washing the car, humidity natural rises to 85-90% during the wash stage, but the dehumidifier kicks in and starts to dehumidify. I also have my wall-mounted heat pump that can also help with dehumidifying when needed. That's my previous house and there was a garage drain in the floor as well, which helps to drain water. (It's actually mandatory by build code in Montreal, due to our insane winters. By the way, I moved in a brand new home with a bigger custom two car garage, even crazier detailing setup. Check it out in my full garage tour here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ramZeYd4dt-Yjqssi=ZTR4gf5lbWsobqWx

I envy this garage, super jealous....Very nicely done. What the dimensions of this garage? Most likely adding a garage onto my house in the coming years and this looks like the perfect size since I don't think I can fit a full 2 car garage.
@PanTheOrganizer7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ben!! I appreciate it. As mentioned at the beginning of the video (written in the bottom), the garage is 15 feet wide by 21 feet deep (315 sq ft.). So it's a 1.5 car garage, not quite double, but perfect to have plenty of room to work around one car. How did you discover my channel?

the ONLY thing i can think of that MIGHT be a negative....is the walls. well, the drywall portion, anyway. i think i'd probably cover it with frp (fiber reinforced plastic). i worked in restaurants back in the early/mid 90s, and a lot of them had this stuff covering the walls in the cooking and washing/cleaning area. it's VERY easy to clean as you can just wash it down with a hose/pressure washer very easily. it doesn't mold or mildew at all and is impact resistant. it's not exactly cheap, but it's not crazy expensive, either. otherwise, excellent job on the cleanliness, organization (hence, the name, lol) and overall professional look of your "office".

Yes that garage had a floor drain. It’s part of the build code here in Montreal (Canada) due to our winters. Your water softener uses an ion exchange system, exchanging calcium and magnesium for sodium. The sodium will still create waterspots, but they are easier to remove and *should* be less likely to etch the finish. To eliminate waterspots, you would need a deionization system, very different.
@PanTheOrganizer7 жыл бұрын
+krus0094 You are right. My system still helps though. Deionization systems are super costly from what I heard...
