That's not too crazy. We have 400 pound grudge bikes that make 800+ RWHP. I think even stock bikes now days make around 200 BHP weighing in at around 300 pounds. Lol. So I dont think its too crazy.

Hay Combustion Chamber I have a 1989 Toyota Camry station wagon at the moment. Originally she had a 2.5 2 VZ-FE V6 in her. Now I am installing a 3.0 3 VZ-FE V6 in her. I have already set up her up with a K.Y.B suspension that has a 1/4 in droup on the springs. upgraded rear anti sway. The interior is stock and original. I upgraded the stereo system from Alpine audio. I took out the speaker boxes then I replaced the sound insulation throughout the car and speaker boxes with Dynamat sound insulation . The rear is 6 speakers set up with 2 tweeters 2 midway's & 2 subs.

I love my car so much that I had to keep it running. One day after I finish college, I will make it into a sleeper. This is inspirational to me to see the appreciation and love for the same Camry model I have. I hope to meet you sometime after I accomplish my dream project car.

Wish I could have seen the suspension. When I had my 89 Camry, performance suspension choices were almost none. I had KYB struts and Intrax springs on it. I see this one has adjustable camber plates so I'm guessing some sort of adjustable coilover suspension.

Last I checked, they still sell AWD ones in Japan, but only sold them here from 88-91. I've always assumed it had something to do with Toyota owning a decent chunk of Subaru.

wow what a nice build, i've got a 1987 3sfe auto in perfect shape it's a extremely reliable daily beater, but unfortunately mine is a fwd , in december i will be sending the car to a garage to swap in a 3sge red top and keep it as an automatic but it will still be a lot faster than it is now, i wish i had the all trac so that way i could swap in a 3sgte like this one, by the way i am from lima peru and in my country there are only like a hundred 2nd gen camrys still on the road glad to be one of the few in my country that has one.

Hear me out. I got a 97 Lexus ES300, AKA an ultra lux Camry. I’m in the process of cleaning, cutting and fabricating a transmission tunnel and driveshaft tunnel. Going to redo the entire interior with suede and peanut butter quilted sportier newer seats and put a rear center console with a cooler over the driveshaft tunnel. Then undercoat it and all once the chassis pristine and factory fresh After being so heavily modified I’m going to have a mild built 2JZ mated to some sort of DCS transmission to keep it auto but add manual paddle shifters, roughly 600hp and a harder part making it AWD. Then I’ll repaint the entire car in its factory pearl white tricoat but with even more flake in the paint that it had factory. Should be a show stopper daily.

@@johndoe-ys7nx Not in the Camry All-Trac they didn't -- they had the 3SFE, naturally aspirated with only 130hp. You are thinking about the Celica All-Trac.

@@jgizzy That's true, my 1991 Camry All-Trac has the 3S-FE 1998 cc/2.0 L 4 cyl with a VERY restrictive air intake system. "Naturally Aspirated" is a bit of a generous description. But the 4wd kicks in when you mash the skinny pedal and the 4 speed slush box figures it out.

@@cullenwegener6403 I've got a 89' LE with the 3SFE. In the near future, I'm scouting any and all, All Trac donors I can find for the transaxle and rear end, to convert to AWD. Agreed, "Restrictive" is very generous. That Mass air flow sensor on the outlet side of the air box (and not a lot of people know this) is a variable resistor, directly controlling juice to the fuel pump in amps. It runs through the ECM but if say, the springs on that MAF sensor door (within the huge MAF body) break or the door gets stuck closed... it can be a superb pain to diagnose. Why the fuel pump isn't "running"...when it seems like it is. You'll have fuel line pressure but zero volume. Iva had this happen before and it took forever to find the problem. Fuel pump gets line voltage and it hums but there's very low amps to run it for adequate fuel supply. It's a really unique Mass air flow. With the 88-913FSE, if you get no air, you get no fuel. So yeah, it highly limits airflow. I'll be bypassing that (as I'm going turbo) but it's rare to find people still driving these and we gotta keep'em going. 🤙

WTF? A 1991 Camry Alltrac with a manual transmission? I had a 1988 Camry Alltrac and I thought that 1988 was the last year to get the Camry Alltrac with a standard transmission. Wow. I miss that old car. Mine was always a bit underpowered (I think its engine did not get up to the full 115 HP). I can only imagine what it would have been like with over 260 HP. I bought a 1999 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro but kept the Camry. I put another 60k miles on it. I finally donated it to charity in 2006 because the AC, the clutch, and the radiator all failed at the same time....too many expensive repairs at the same time. As it was, the power locks and power windows were not entirely functional; the electronics were starting to go bad.

This is the answer I've been looking for years: An All-Trac Camry with a 3S-GTE swap. I was actually think of the Gen1 or Gen 2 3S-GTE; not the even more powerful 4th Gen!! It's a great platform to use because it is similar to the Celica. Both used the same engines, and the Celica was offered with the same All-Trac set up and the turbo engine back then. Toyota used to also make an All-Trac Corolla (wagon and the more rare, sedan) as well. It shouldn't be too difficult to do. After all, the Camry (like the Celica) used the 3S-FE, A milder cam version of the 3S without the turbo. The rare engine is actually the more aggressive cam 3S-GE, commonly used in the Caldina overseas, but only saw duty here in the US, in the 1986-89 Celica GT-S. 3S-GTE is the turbo version of that engine. I love this!

I'm in Canada and I had no idea there was a 2 door Camry in the 90s until my uncle came from the States. Eventually we got one and it was called a Solara. Just like the 4wd Corolla, I don't think it ever got to Canada. We missed out on things like this.

@@BossRob Well, they definitely had a two door Camry in the 90s, and then when did 97+ Generation Camry came. They didn’t offer a coupe until the late 90s and called it the solara, But oddly, I believe the earlier models were called the “Camry Solara”, and then they just changed it to Solara.
