Can’t wait to see the new suspension set up!! I’m surprised a long travel kit hasn’t been made before!! But this axel swap is going to awesome and definitely improve the off road experience!!
@wk2hawk Жыл бұрын
Original plan was a LT but that still required a solid axel in the rear and we couldn’t quite figure out all the electronics with just swapping one axel. SAS will be a game changer for real

@@wk2hawk I’m going over scenarios in my head since mine will be paid off soon. I don’t want to just put on a bought 2.5” kit with no travel and also am thinking of swapping an LS or LT motor or Go Hemi. Did you go with axels out of a Ram?

@@MrIrieviking axels are off of a 2010 f250. Dana 60 front and sterling 10.5 rear.

Nice fire road trail rig. Needs a lift, now way those tires dont rub.
@suzannedobson8786Ай бұрын
No rubbing thanks to what was essentially a cab mount chop. We’re in the midst of the first ever solid axle swap on this platform so it’ll be a whole new beast here soon

Sick build! I love this thing. I had a 2011 WK2 for about 10 years. Such a great rig. Really cool seeing it taken to a whole other level.

I see you cut the stock flares off. Are you running any type of fender liner?
@wk2hawk Жыл бұрын
Originally I trimmed them back quite a bit but ultimately thanks to all of our trips and the larger tires there’s not a fender liner left on this thing. I plan on spraying them with some time of bed liner but we’ll see when this next phase is done what we come up with.

Thanks for sharing your video! Do you know which Victory 4x4 Roof Rack Side Accessory Panels you are using on the sides? I am referring to the side panels that are connected to your Gobi roof rack... Thanks!
Where did you get those molle panels for the outside rear windows? Love the build. I finally made a roof rack up out of unistrut. I sure wasn’t going to pay thousands of dollars for something I can make myself. Also how much for the dual swinging hitch mount? I need something like that so I can open up space in the cargo area. Slowly but surely getting my build going on my 2017 trailhawk.

@@OverlandingOurWay Thanks for the comment! Regarding the swingout, you’ll have to reach out to Jerry at Beastfab regarding the swing out. Depending on the setup it was anywhere from $2,000 - $3,000. Molle panel is from Victory 4x4

What are the adapters you used for the molle side panel?
