I just bought a axial .28RR spec1 with a jp4 pipe for around 60 bucks and i cleaned everything and tested the pinch everything was fine doesnt have burning signs or i dont see any used signs it is like brandnew. Today im gonna test that engine that dude on ebay just told me he found that engine in the garage and didnt have so much idea about nitros. But dude 60 bucks for a like brandnew axial and a jp 4 pipe for me it was like a gift

Souns like a great deal! Axial was very popular back in time, cheap and strong engines for bashers. The jp4 is a good allaround pipe

Looks like the brass expanted and the chrome liner remained intact. Very strange. How did you install the sleeve again? Did you just press it in or did you sand it? You deffinitely need a hook to press out stuck sleeves from the backplate ( i will send you a picture). That works better than using a lot of heat. Engine is running good👍

Its very strange indeed! I tried to install a different sleeve and it fits the Block perfect but not this one.. I polished it for a long time, its not perfect, still a resistance as tou can see, but it fits now and runs good. Thanks for the comment Kings

Someone needs to redesign these sleeves to be easier to get out. If it had a couple of threaded holes in the top lip at least you could put a couple of bolts to grab hold of. Or even a lip to prise it with flat head but there is nothing to hold There must be some way to make it.,

I was at 160 celsius with my lrp z28 and it survived im at 10 litres and yesterday i gave him a new pinch and hes already new again hope i can drive another 10 litres with him

It held up to 155° but running rich at this temperature is dangerous! The oil turns to glue 😰
