Originally created by Matt Bennett. The Rio Getter fly was specifically designed for the Rio Grande Cichlid, a rare and unique species of fish native to the Rio Grande valley in south Texas. Although it was intended for this species, it has proven to be highly effective for all sorts of panfish. If you fish for pan fish its a fun tie and well worth a try!

I've made many very similar variations of this just messing around. I've caught bluegill/ sunfish, bass, crappie, and even a channel cat. Hoping to get a carp on it this year. Very good baby crayfish imitation so pretty much anything will eat it.
