An incredibly amateur opinion mainly to highlight this neat lens that I think is worth picking up if you have a couple minutes on Ebay and 40 extra smackers.

Just bought an ME Super for $25. Because of this video. Might be emailing you for a CLA when it arrives!

Glad you enjoyed it! Beyond that, I also love the Tamron SP 35-80 (01A) is a little faster (2.8-3.8), a little bigger, has a nicer macro mode, still costs less than $100, and looks cool. The Pentax-A 35-105mm is also sweet, but a little big and heavy for my taste.

I was happy to hear him say that he likes the ME Super with a 40mm Pancake lens which is my current everyday carry set up. I like the MX, ME, ME Super but I've been experiencing advance lever issues. My MX has been having very intermittent "crunching" and not so uniform spacing between frames on the negative strip. (Did I mention that I have two MX's and two ME Super's? I couldn't help myself when I find them for $35 at a camera store.) Because of this I am leaning towards my (bigger, heavier) Nikon F2 and F3.

My favorite Pentax zoom (so far) is the 24-50mm f4 (constant aperture). A little bigger than the lens in this video, but still reasonably small. The zoom is controlled by twisting a ring on the lens, which I much prefer to the trombone push/pull style. The zoom range provides everything I need for travel--interior shots at 24mm to exteriors at 35-50.

I Shoot a lot from early 80's until 2010 with Me Super with 50/1,7 and 24/2,8. I did love these combinations. Just loaded 400BW to my Me Super after a long, long time. My K1 Mark II is great, but it is a little bit bulky according to the Me Super. Does the electronics really have to be so heavy, or is it something else, that must show the masculinity of pro-cameras. My digital Panasonic-Lumix with Leica DC 24 mm lens weights 455 g without cap, which was lost in Madeira many years ago. Pentax Me Super with 50/1,7 is only a bit over 100 g heavier. The mirror is heavy, of course, but there is a mirror in Me Super, too. This makes me wonder...

My two main lenses for all my cameras are 35-70 and 70-21 (ish, depending on the camera brand). That gives you good, general purpose coverage of all the usual focal lengths. Then if I find something that I want to shoot in-depth, I switch to a prime.

I got the ME SUPER to get into analog photography and for a 100 Euros I got the camera plus 2 lenses. Undfortunately the shutter release seems to be broken but one of the lenses is a pancake so I kind of got my money back right there. Still hoping to repair the camera but I've already ordered another one - this time from a professional.

I have been thinking about picking up a pentax-a 35-105 f3.5 actually. It looks quite sharp for an old zoom. Not as compact but covers basically everything and not variable aperture!

The "Stack O' Primes" zoom? The only zoom I'd consider. Fixed aperture, decent speed, sharp & versatile!

I've thought the 35-70 lens is so small that must be cute and be useful. but unfortunately I had only a chane to buy 35-70mm lens f4 which is bigger.
