Thanks for checking out our switches! Can't wait to hear what you think about our sensor!

I only have red series switches so I don't know if there is a delay in the black series, but the delay is necessary for the scene control features to detect multiple button presses. In newer firmware versions there is an option to disable the 700ms delay, but you need a usb zwave stick to do the update

Great video. I was looking at Lutron Caseta but the ability to use Inovelli Red with smart light bulbs and other devices, trigger routines and scenes and customize the RGB light on the switches has changed my mind. I’ll be going with Inovelli in my new house now. You gained a sub.

Honestly thought they were keyboard switches, but now I know a substantially greater amount of info about light switches.

Is there anyway you could do a tutorial on how to get the child device to operate? I'd love to have my switch alert my family that the alarm is armed/disarmed with a glance of the switch. It's kicking my butt, I can't get the child device to show up.

How do you get it to control the fan? I have an older dumb fan wired with a in the ceiling controller box that works with Alexa , but I can't figure out how to use with this switch/hubitat

Why didn't you feed the two neutral wires into the back of the switch? Wouldn't it do the same thing with less space?

Great Stuff! I do have two boys that keep on triggering the alarm because they forgot to disarm the ring alarm. Can you point me to a video that shows me how to change the colors on the light switch when arming and disarming the alarm?

thank for you for this. I am thinking of red series dimmer switch to control WIZ color down lights. I have smart things, I understand I should be able to integrate it all. I'd like to be able to dimm the WIZ smart lights from the switch - thoughts?

Thank you for muffling when you say Alexa!! KZbin videos trigger mine all the time, haha.

Been a while since you posted this but I'd love to hear how your setup has been working. I'm considering doing very much the same in my new home and wanted to know if you've had any major/minor issues in the last year. Large z-wave networks have always been worrisome for me and your experience would be greatly appreciated.

awesome video and i am definitely sold on getting them. Quick question though. Do these fit in a regular switch cover? asking because you havent mentioned that and you show them in a 3 and 4 gang box. Just want to make sure they will fit with a 2 and 3 gang switch cover.

Great video, how did you get the switch (not dimmer) to work without a neutral?

@TechFox Great review! Do you know how many watts each switch uses in standby mode?

I got my first Inovelli dimmer switch today. It's the Black series, instead of the Red series with the extra features... My next one might be a Red series because the notification lights I can set up to see on the switch. Before seeing your video I didn't think the Red added much value but your examples of the notifications got me interested. Does the Red require a lot more effort and technical knowledge to set up and use? I like how simple the Black series is and they still have features other smart dimmer switches don't have.

Physical installation is identical if you're using neutral wires. Set up in your hub isn't more "complicated" but you have a lot more options to choose from which might be a little daunting at first. If you were able to setup the black series then you should be just fine.

Does it only work with smart light or does it also work with regular "dumb" lights?

I thought these *weren't* fan rated? I love my 15+ switches, but waiting patiently for fan/lights full release!!!
@Tech-Fox4 жыл бұрын
I know it says not to use these for fans but I've seen Inovelli mention on forums that they should technically work (on/off, not dimmers). I checked the power requirements for the fan against the power rating of the switches (with 3 tabs removed) and it technically should be fine. I tried it on one fan at Max speed and didn't notice any hissing, sparking, or crackling and the switch is still cool to the touch. I know I saw some "fan-specific" on/off switches on their site marked as "coming soon" but idk what happened to them.

So if I have a 3 way switch in the kitchen (2 switches), do I only need to purchase 1 Invovelli switch?
@Tech-Fox4 жыл бұрын
Theoretically, yes. It depends on your wiring configuration but yes you should only need one. You can then turn the lights on or off from either location at the switch or through a command

you need to be careful giving out electrical wiring advice.. in many homes just because there is a white wire in a box it doesn't mean it's a neutral, it can be a switch leg or a 3-way traveler which makes it a hot wire. you should tell people to use a meter source: ive been an electrician for 35 years. there is also no such thing as a 5 way switch, just multiple 4-ways. use side cutter pliers horizontal to the switch to remove heat sink tabs. you get more grip and leverage.
